No shuttle from airport.....toilet didn't work...would definitely NOT recommend this hotel!!!!!

It needs some upgrading

Pros: closeness to airport & good included breakfast
Cons: the hotel needs some upgrading it is showing its age
Location: close to airport and free shuttle
There was a lot of renovation taking place due to hurricane damage the hotel did a good job considering what they had to deal with

Nice to spend the night

Pros: Proximity to airport
Cons: Mentioned above.
Location: Only needed and used for overnight. Did not leave the hotel except to return to airport the next morning.
I was very satisfied with everything. Only items lacking were amenities in the bathroom and notepaper and pen/pencil to make notes. No other complaints and especially nice to have the shuttle bus take and deliver you to the airport.

5 minutes from MIA & large parking lot

Room was clean & comfortable. The only drawback that we had was a very noisy a/c. I switched it off & opened the window. Luckily the weather was pleasant which allowed me to open the window.

Pros: Convienent
Location: Not many places to eat nearby if you don't have a vehicle
Close to the airport and cruise terminals. Liked the shuttle services.

Ac not working

Checked in at 3pm. Left for afternoon and returned At 9pm to find out room never cooled off. Went to front desk they said they had no other rooms. I was upset at this and too late to find another hotel at 10 pm on Friday night.

Short, but sweet

My initial experience was a strained one as I waited at the airport for almost 2 hours for the shuttle, to recognize it was the wrong La Quinta on arrival. the staff there made sure to point out my alrea to the hoteldy accepted error. It made the situation even more uncomfortable. However the staff at East certainly made up. Without even being aware of the situation, everyone was friendly and helpful! My stay was just for a day, and on departure the waiting area was being cleaned, so I waited outside without fuss. However, the receptionist brought me a drink and snack for the "inconvenience". I told her it was no trouble, but she insisted. That is service!!! I will return to East for certain in a heart, no matter where in Miami I need to be.

The hotel is nice enough, very close to the airport. Our AC did not work, nor did our tv or one lamp. Otherwise we didn’t have any other issues.

The hotel is going thru renovations which is good. The bedding needs to change. The room we stayed in, the middle of the beds were sunk in making it difficult for guests with back problems. Overall it was okay and very close to the airport.
