Comfortable with lots of room

Pros: Breakfast, the comfortable beds, the exercise room, the slippers, the cookies, check out!
Cons: Check-in, refill the breakfast buffet a little more quickly, softer sofa beds.

We wanted to spend a couple of days in Dayton, so we booked a room at the Doubletree for the six of us (my husband, three kids, my brother, and me). At check-in, I had to remind them to give us the breakfast coupons and asked about accessing the internet. They remembered the cookies, though--they're so amazingly delicious! The room was large and comfortable--two double beds and a sofa bed. The double beds were very comfortable. My brother said the sofa bed wasn't very comfortable, but I don't think I've ever seen one that was....We had to ask for sheets for the sofa bed, but they gave us some right away and even brought us another blanket and pillow and some more slippers. Those slippers were great! What a nice idea!!! This is our second time staying at this hotel. The last time was six or eight years ago, and they had a huge fish tank then. The whole lobby has been rearranged since then. I miss the fish tank, but the waterfall is pretty. We enjoyed the exercise room since the pool is outside and was closed. State of the art equipment! Breakfast was a hot buffet, and it was very good. Eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, breads of all kinds, cereal, yogurt--a nice selection. The grapefruit juice was amazing! Checkout was easy, and the price ended up being even cheaper than what we reserved the room for, which was nice. Overall, it was another great stay!

The hotel was nice and clean will stay there again if ever back in Dayton Ohio the only complaint they were out of clean towels when requested.

the room had saggy beds

Pros: staff was prompt
Cons: rooms need updating
the lobby looked nice -- but room 353 had 2 saggy beds, a noisy air conditioning unit, and a toilet improperly mounted to the floor. Definitely not what i expected.

Housekeeping didn't show much enthusiasm. Had to call to restock items daily and towels were tossed onto the racks. We kept a clean room but only because we cleaned it. Front desk was wonderful, professional and helpful. Room service food was yummy!!!!! Room was perfect size and comfortable! Would definitely stay there again!!!

Saved the day

We had booked a two double and pullout suite. Hotels.com booked a king suite. We are a family of 6. Hotel was completely booked. One of the front desk workers did a little research and determined there was an available room.

Business trip

I arrived very late and was taken care of by the front desk with water and a hot cookie. I was directed where to park so I was closest to my room which helped. Just wish there was a breakfast that I could have come down on the fly and quickly grab food and run instead of just a sit down and order breakfast. It was a good stay.
