We're still here so no complaints so far except the pool door looks horrible it's rusted and falling apart

Very noisy, thin walls ceilings let too much..

Pros: Location was great as close to town. Staff was friendly.
Cons: Ensue drains are unplugged. Find a way to keep the doors from slamming.
Location: Lots of shopping. Outlets are 3 miles away.
Also slamming doors wake you up all the time. Drains for the sink and tub were hardly draining water.

Very Noisy

I recently stayed at a different Country Inn earlier this year and loved it. However, I was extremly extremly dissapointed in this Michigan City Country Inn. We booked a night away from kids for our anniversary. We only got about 2 hours of slee because of the NOISE. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. There were workers in the hallway until late in the evening, we heard the ice marching going off several times and the neighboring room was full of people talking and thumping music until 3am. We called the service desk 3 different times to report the thumping music and could hear the entire conversations of the people next door. They finally asked me if I wanted to switch rooms at 3am and I said absolutely not. I was shocked that that was their solution. They said that they will have to ask the " party group" to leave the room then- which was what should have been done. The breakfast was minimal & incomparable to the other Country Inn that I stayed at and coffee grounds filled the coffee canisters. They refunded us $28 which was not worth the awful stay. We chose a different hotel the next night and we couldn't have been happier .

Courteous Staff

Location: Right off the interstate and not too far from the casino
We arrived at the hotel about 11:00am, with check in being 3:00.pm,. One out of two rooms were clean but the front desk clerk ran up the steps to check with the cleaning staff to see when our second room would be available and was told within 20 minutes. She gave us the keys to the first room and called within the 20 minutes to state the other room was clean and ready for occupancy. Can't ask more than that, particularly when we were so hungry that we ate up most of the complimentary cookies!! Yes, more were put out😊

Very friendly staff

Pros: Staff
Cons: The windows!
I called the day before to let them know I would be checking in very late, and talked to a very friendly employee, upon checking in I experienced the same. Our room was very clean and acceptable, however it was windy out and the window sounded like it wasn't installed properly--lots of whistling noise all night. Overall good experience though.

Nice staff but hotel needs updated sooo much!

The staff were really nice and helpful. However, the hotel needs remodeling. They need new beds and a new swimming area (rust was everywhere and doors to the area were rusted so badly that one of the doors wouldn’t even shut and the hot tub didn’t even work).

Discouraged

Pros: It was in a good location and it was decorated nice
Cons: The mattress on the pull out coach was terrible. Not very heavy blankets. Keep the spa working.
Location: It is close to a casino and an outlet mall
I booked there for the spa but the first thing I seen was a sign saying it was down for repair. Had to wait for food at the breakfast buffet and then it was not good. No way I could eat the oatmeal and the bisquits were hard. I think we ended up with cold cereal.

This hotel was filthy. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. Very unpleasant.

They’re working on getting better

I’ve stayed here twice and the staff is beyond awesome. They’re working on updating the outside. Hope they plan on updating the inside as well. The rooms are tired and worn. But felt safe and the beds are comfy. Love the Beekman 1802 toiletries!
