Clean and quiet room in a hotel that ticked off the basics. Room (single) was postage-stamp sized up a narrow steep staircase (no lift). Ice cold when I arrived but eventually found the heater control and things gradually improved. No luggage rack but perhaps that seems to be typical in the UK.

Staff were friendly and helpful, location was great, dinner was good, bed was comfortable but hotel is very tired and poorly maintained, breakfast was very average and worst of all there was no hot water in our rooms (and no plug for the handbaisin). Definitely way overpriced - the highest rate we are paying on this trip for the worst accomodation!

We arrived and waited some time for the guy on reception to check us in- he seemed to be busy doing something else. Whole place is tatty and a warren of stairs and landings. Do not stay here if you find stairs tough.we booked a deluxe room- thank God we didn’t go for a standard!! In fairness it is an old building so you have to expect sloping floors etc but staff attitude needs sharpening and maintenance could be better. On the up side, breakfast was good.

Room was very basic. Bed a bit short for my 5' 11". Despite my room being at the top of the building up 4 flights of stairs (no lift) and double glazing it was still quite noisey. Parking was also difficult with a small parking area at rear of the building for max 10 vehicles with 22 rooms. The room was overpriced by 50%

I have stayed at harry's before because of it's great location. The staff are always friendly and the rooms are always impeccably clean.The only thing I would recommend for improvement is the quality of the mattresses.I do not find the beds that comfortable and the room I stayed in this time the mattress had a big ridge down the middle. In contrast the breakfast is of a high standard and I will definitely be staying at Harry's again on my future visits to Aberystwyth. Excellent value for money despite the uncomfortable bed.

A bit noisy between rooms and glazing to main road not good. Water for cold tap and shower poor and told there was nothing that can be done. Reception guy didnt seem to know what he was doing. Room itself was nice and bed comfortable, great location although parking was not easy to find without having to call first

Harry’s in Aberystwyth
We had a quick stopover amd we stayed in the flat with full cooking facilities and parking. It was clean and comfortable. The hotel had an attached bar, which was active, but quiet after 10:00. The breakfast was also top notch. A great stay in coastal Wales.

Excellent all round
Check in was easy, parking was good with a dedicated area for our motorbikes and the bar was friendly. We had the detached flat at the back of the hotel which was excellent, nice size, TVs in every room, good kitchen, clean and in good condition. Great value for money.

Generally ok but in need clean sheets maintenance
Hotel is generally fine but is indeed of maintenance. Extractor fan didn’t work in the bathroom heating up the whole room after showers. Sheets had not been changed and we didn’t discover this until the early hours upon going to bed.

+ Location. In town center - My room smelled of smoke (and there clearly no smoking signs all over). I admit I didn’t ask to change rooms because I was just spending one night there, so I informed the front desk upon checkout - Bed was not comfortable. You could feel the springs in it - Very tiny & outdated. I saw this in other reviews, and was still a bit surprised (I thought people might be exaggerating). I could fit my suitcase & me and not much more. I think there were two small drawers if you wanted to unpack.

Good value for money, the staff were great and room very clean with very modern en-suite. Our room (6) was let down by the noise from the kitchen extracts and occasional, what I took to be, cellar/beer cooling refrigeration units, ironically our bathroom extract fan didn’t work (but I forgot to mention this to the staff)! The vegetarian breakfast kept us going all day, the veggie sausages were the best I have ever tasted!

This hotel has real maintenance issues. We were moved due to a faulty cold water tap. Next morning the hot water in the shower would not work. This turned out to be an intermittent fault which was not rectified during our stay.

Roadside Inn central to the town
A roadside inn with a pleasant bar and good food coupled with friendly staff. A special mention for Steven who is clearly a multi skilled member of staff and covered reception, bar and food service - all with a smile. Accommodation was neatly presented with modern shower room clean and comfortable. Duvets are wafer thin and need replacing. Stairway carpet and décor on the corridors could do with sprucing up. Popular venue for food offering two for £12 plus a soft drink. Portions were generous and cooked to order. Don't complain about traffic noise, plumbing from interconnecting en-suites or banging fire exit doors as you are kindly provided with a set of ear plugs! Breakfast choice was very good on the cooked but on the buffet would expect some fruit such as grapefruit, stewed or fruit salad . Overall met expectations and the 2 Star Hotel did not reflect what was on offer here that was clearly in my opinion a 3 Star inn. It was a very good price so would return. . .

Easter Stay
Had a lovely stay, except. Check in - They had no record of our booking through Hotels.com. I have to say Steven on reception was excellent. He found me the number to Hotels.com who then contacted him and sorted the booking. I don't know whose fault it was but it got sorted within about 30 minutes. All other aspects of Harrys were super. Nice breakfast, nice range of beers and good location.

A very pleasant stay
A surprisingly quiet, well-appointed single ensuite room, although the floor was sloping. A lovely warm shower. Tea making facilities and nice biscuits. The full cooked breakfast in the morning was lovely. I managed to park on an adjoining street. It was on a main road, but being at the rear of the hotel it was quiet, and was very central.
