Don't expect a quiet night

The hotel looks nice and is new but the construction is shoddy. There is little sound proofing; it sounded like an elephant was staying above us and we could hear clomping around until midnight, again at 4 am and 6 am. Speaking of 4 am, a random fire alarm went off two times then and then was turned off before everyone evacuated. When we asked the next morning, the front desk lady said the night guy had "gotten bored" and pushed the wrong thing. Maybe because of the fire alarm, the elevator did not work the next morning, so my husband, who was on crutches had to make his way to the farthest end of the building and down two flights to get breakfast.

Very much enjoyed this stay. Exceptional breakfast. The only downfall was that the shower in comparison to everything else seemed a little outdated.

Quick trip to Midland

We spent the night there because we had an early doctor's appointment a mile away. The hotel is beautiful, the clerk polite and helpful, and the bed was comfortable. The only problem was the room was like an oven, and even after turning the system completely off, it was still insufferably hot. We could have called the front desk for help, but didn't complain, thinking it would surely adjust after turning off the system. Other than that, a really great stay.

Pros: I was able to stay in lobby and do work after discharge time.
Check-in was easy. Room was large and very comfortable. Amenities at hotel helpful.

Nice location, great staff and pet friendly. However, the pet fee was $100.00 for one night with one dog (which is high). Otherwise, great hotel.
