They charge for internet access after the first day even though you are paying a resort fee. $25 food credit at attached restaurant is for dine in only so pretty much useless. They used to have in room breakfast but that is now gone

Without question the "salon" was the perfect size. Floor to ceiling windows were amazing. We had the corner room and saw all 4 streets merge together. It was great. Also, the kitchenette was nice so that we could keep drinks cold and didn't have to bring something in every day. The leather couch was super comfortable. Having room(s) allowed someone to sleep while everyone else could watch tv, eat, etc. Umbrella's were a nice touch. We are definitely coming back and referring our friends to stay. Cognac was a wonderful restaurant. Food and service were wonderful!

Night started bad with rude guests that made it very uncomfortable. Hotel front desk and Manager then did everything possible to ensure we had a great experience. Provided us discounts and even sent a complimentary wine bottle to our room. Staff was outstanding

So. The $50 “resort fee”. On their website it says “each guest is ensured…daily light contemporary breakfast provided in the lobby” - lie. There’s a sit down breakfast in their restaurant that they charge $25 per person for and they only give you a $25 credit per day so if there are two of you one guest is paying for breakfast “Evening wine and cheese” - this was provided however the space isn’t clean. The same toothpicks were on a table in the space for 48 hours I was there. “Shoe shine service” - wasn’t given any info about this “Premium WiFi access” - the premium WiFi you have to pay for. The basic WiFi sucks. Regular internet service from your phone is better. When we tried to ask what this fee actually covers because it seemed like we were being charged for nothing but the “complimentary amenities” I was told about at check in the manager was very nasty and told me to deal with it. Especially being someone who’s from nyc to stay in a hotel for a weekend and be charged for a “resort” that doesn’t have a rooftop or pool seems ridiculous.

Rachel at the front desk was such a nice person. Very pleasant, even on an early Monday morning. Thank you Rachel! The room was easy to get the heat right. Many of you know rooms in the city in January can be cold or hot and not much in between, the room temperature was easy to adjust and it was perfect, very comfortable.

Everything was great! Very close to a safe parking lot. Had awesome dining and cocktail options at hotel. Extremely close to popular sights (within walking distance)! We were there on a very busy night in NYC so traffic was horrendous, however, we were able to walk everywhere in very little time since everything was truly that close! Amazing location! Very amazing service also. Will definitely be staying here again!

The Hotel 48Lex is conveniently located in Mid Town, a short walk from Grand Central Station and some of the sights such as Rockefeller Centre, Radio City, 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue. For such a great location, you would think the overall condition of this Hotel would be pretty good? No. Ripped carpet, lighting in room was abysmal, HVAC was crazy loud and didn’t work, slow Wifi, elevators in dire need of repair, gym “facilities” consisted of two small rooms with faulty equipment. I would have done better staying in a youth hostel in the village.

It was a getting birthday for my daughter. The room had no water bottles as my aunt room did. There was only one robe. The room my aunty was staying in room 1202 was very hot. We had to call the front desk after 2days of staying ina sauna. My aunt lived in new york and we quiry the taxes as shes a citizen there. They told us we have to pick it up with expedia. It was very expensive and over rated .. i called expedia and they told me and have to puck it up with the hotel. I am very disappointed with both company. Dont think i would reccommend both companies.

Great Days at Hotel 48Lex
From the moment we booked our rooms at Hotel 48Lex to the moment we checked out the Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The rooms, facilities were clean and not at all cramped (common to Manhattan Hotels). The Common Room on the 2nd Floor was an added bonus for our groups nightly get together as was the Happy Hour every day between 5 - 7. BONUS! I would not hesitate to recommend Hotel 48Lex to any of our friends visiting NYC. Thanks for the wonderful visit. We hope to see you again soon.

I recommend looking for another Hotel where you don’t have to fight for the room that you booked and be overcharged as it was an upgrade. Unfortunately staff was indelicate, even when I proofed the room that I booked was not that I received. Try to move to another room small saying that was an upgrade. After unnecessary arguing we had the correct one. However had double charges, again saying that had an upgrade. You have hotels in the same region without having this type of headaches.
