The only criticism is the maid service. On two occasions no coffee packets were left for use in the in-room machine. So, I had to go and tell them at the front desk. They sent someone to the room with packets of coffee. On another occasion I was in the room when the maid came. At one point she and two other maids decided to have a long conversation in the hallway. I wanted to use the bathroom, but with the door open and the maids blabbing I was not able to use it. Since she wasn't in the room she could have closed the door and returned 5 minutes later. She also was irregular with leaving bottled water.

This is the third time I have stayed at the JW Marriott in Polanco. The location is great, one block away from Polanco's Park, an oasis in the city for a nice stroll with little stores and places to eat. The service was great, the concierge was very helpful arranging anything like reservations to eat, tickets to museums, and transportation. The lobby is quieter than the neighboring hotels (a plus given the buzz of the city), which makes it feel like a true boutique hotel. Rooms are in great shape and service all across was exceptional.

This is an old-fashioned, European-style hotel right next to the park where all the museums are.
Great location, great rooms, good food if you need room service.
Takes about 20 minutes by taxi to the airport (with no traffic).

Staff is friendly, the only issue i had is with the heater,, and the water from the shower, I got burned with extremely hot water that flushed out the pipes out of nowhere. I told the staff, and they rewarded with 2 comp breakfast. but my skin hurt and was all red from the shower

I arrived late (after midnight) and they were fully prepared to let me in and show me my room. Took less than 5 minute from arrival to room. The room was clean, the hotel itself is very nice with a central courtyard. The morning breakfast was fresh with a variety of breads, fruits and they had a chef who made eggs any which way you wanted. The bathroom was spacious and shower had hot water. I wish they had a better shower faucet. They didn't have wifi which was a bummer. Checkout was quick and easy and they had a taxi waiting for me to take me to the airport. Also got my morning wake up call on time.
