"Loved our stay at Chalet Burlap! Hotel was not the newest but has a very traditional Japanese rustic charm - very very clean!! We had the traditional tatami rooms which were very nice and comfortable. The staff were always smiley and happy to help and welcome drink in the lobby was a nice touch! "

"Amazing hotel with a huge onsen! The breakfast buffet was very large and the dinners that we ordered at the cafe were delicious and convenient. The massage chairs were the cherry on top!"

"The photos were accurate as well as the description. It’s a very cozy place in an insanely beautiful location. The exterior might be shocking to some expecting a high end house but it was wonderful and spacious inside. "

"Every staffs were friendly and helpful during our stay. The area around was so quiet and relax. Breakfast buffet includes both Western and Japanese items, excellent free wine tasting with crackers and chocolates. Modern facility, excellent location, our room was surprisedly neat and spacious. If ever in Furano again, we will definitely be staying here!"
"I had a wonderful stay at Fenix West Furano. The hotel is modern, stylish, and exceptionally well-equipped with everything you need — a full kitchen with complete cooking tools, utensils, and even laundry facilities. It really feels like a home away from home. The staff, especially Hardy, was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Furano!"
"Seems like a new property! Modern and clean. I had a rental car and needed a place close to the airport to spend the night - couldn’t have found a better location."
"Peaceful, beautiful scenery and homely. The hosts were friendly and helpful to share about transport and food options, and answered my questions when I had difficulty navigating Furano (my first time in Hokkaido). As a solo traveler without a car, I am grateful that they picked me up on my first day and sent me to the bus stop on my last day. House is very comfortable and spacious. Thanks Penguin and Jane for being such great hosts!"
