Property location is really good. Train station is just at 3 mints walk and from there you can travel everywhere. Nice Caffè and food shops are there. They ket us checked in early which was a bonus as we arrived there early morning. So this Property is perfect as we came back just to sleep and all day out. Beds were comfortable.

I have to say i was a bit sceptical when booking this hotel as some comments were scaring me of. But i have to say if you want 5* then pay for 5* all i wanted was a bed to sleep in and a nice hot shower and we also go a balcony which was great. The rooms were clean and also we were asked each morning if we would like the staff to come in and clean the room and give fresh towels which was lovely. The metro is literally 2 minute walk from the hotel, and it goes straight to duomo and central which was perfect for us. There are plenty places to eat right next to the hotel. Plenty pizza, pasta and halal kebab shop, which we went to often, theres a carefour supermarket which is 24 hours round the corner which was perfect to pick drinks and snacks as the hotel only has a tea/coffee machine but there is a lovely cafe literally next door who do some amazing chocolates and espresso and coffee, and few more doors down was a lovely bakery which we loved. The staff in there were so sweet. Theres also a McDonalds right opposite, a pharmacy, plenty hair salons, super cheap for wash and blowdry. And few shisha bars. If i do come back to milan i will definitely be staying here again.

The front door to the room was very loose and whilst it locked it did not feel secure at all. There were also cockroaches in the room. The staff were notified and they said they would do something but they didn't. I left early.

Don't go if you want to impress your date.
The pictures in the website doesn't really match with the hotel. The location is pretty good, you can easily have access to subway, the neighborhood is pretty boring, not for party. Don't put high expectations there, it's just a place to sleep.

Beds claimed to be double but was two single beds and dust everywhere where I touched and the blankets smelt old and dusty like them never been washed and one of the bedroom plugs doesn’t work, so overall stay was not pleasant or comfy

Regretted staying there. we spent the whole night in agony. the bathroom was tiny, untidy , filthy. the room was small. the hotel was really basic and the room was full of bugs. in the morning ants were all over. terrible experience, will never stay again.

Unpleasant time
The hotel is located close to the metro station. The room and bathroom was clean. The wi-fi was very week but most time the signal disappeared. The service wasn't helpful and they also want us to pay city tax which was supposed to be included in the prize on Hotels.com.

Bathroom very small , hotel is like those in the Uk that are used to house the unemployed and immigrants, facilities are non existent. Area is very rough so wouldn't venture out at night.

It does the job - not the most ideal area, but close to some nightlife spots, and close to transportation options. The plus is that although the place seemed run-down, the rooms itself were clean as were the linens and towels.

The real price for this hotel should be even lower, but is not so bad. The rooms are small but clean, the bathroom is even smaller and dirty. Metro station is very close, the line M3 to the center in 10 minutes. Nearby is a supermarket and plenty of restaurants and pizzerias. On foot to the center comes easily, for about 30-40 min. Staffs are friendly. Wi-Fi in room work OK.

It was great , the stuff was very friendly , clean room but the single one was very small and without air-condition, just a small fan . the bed was not comfort . The bathroom is clean but not suitable to the tall people over 1,75 cm . The hotel's location is awesome , 300m from the metro station ( yellow line ) . Overall , it is a nice choice for who need to spend a nice city vacation with a moderate cost .

Noticed when booking that AC was available (at an extra charge). When we got to our room we saw there was no AC but decided not to worry as the room was cool enough. Found, however, that we could not leave the window open, as expected, because the hotel is situated on a very busy road - lots of traffic noise.

I stayed at the hotel del sud for 3 nights as sort of a solo getaway in June 2015 I primarily booked it as the price was low and as such had little expectation. When I arrived I noted the hotel was located on a busy street with restaraunts and a Carrefour just up the road - useful for food options. The hotel is accessible on the yellow metro line getting off at Brenta station and the hotel is approximately 30 metres ahead of you . The closeness to the metro makes it a good base for accessing. Different areas of Milan. My room was basic with a double bed, desk. Wardrobe and tv (no English channels) and a tiny bathroom. The bathroom was laid out poorly with the sink directly in the way of both the toilet and the shower. If you're were a larger peson you may struggle to find space in this bathroom to use the facilities. The shower was hot and the toilet flushed so adequate for a persons needs. I was also grateful to the staff who placed a fan in my room on the final night as there is no air con in the rooms. The hotel is basic but is acceptable for a budget traveler seeking a base in Milan at a good price who doesn't expect an array of luxuries. I would stay again as for the price paid it was ok and meant I could spend my money in enjoying Milan rather than on expensive accommodation

Good value, good location
Hotel Del Sud was the perfect economical choice in a great location. Nothing fancy but functional and fine. Close to the heart of Milano, and located in a nice local neighborhood with anything you could need.
