The hotel is about 8 minutes walking distance from Milano Centrale,and next to Lima Subway Station.The breakfast is good.There should be more hangers in the bathroom.It is good for a short stay.

Average 4 star hotel, which got some significat improvements in service, decor, confort. However, it is quite basic for a 4 stars! Good location in Corso Buenos Aires, convenient for metro (red line: Lima, Porta Venezia), shopping and restaurants. Rooms on the Corso may be noisy.

Good location, not the most comfortable
Definitely not a 4 star hotel, more like 3 stars Good points: Great location - only a minute walk to the metro station (Lima) and there's plenty of places to shop and eat close by. Friendly hotel staff Clean rooms Breakfast included Bad points: Shockingly bad wifi speeds - full signal but average about 200k speeds. Don't even think about watching a YouTube clip or updating an app. Heating/air con can't be controlled in your room - you have to ask reception to make any changes. I woke up with headaches most mornings cause it was so hot in my room. I had to ask over 3 consecutive days to have the temp lowered Really hard and uncomfortable pillows Very average breakfast - I stayed for 5 nights and opted to skip breakfast on 3 mornings and eat out

room was pretty small, but clean, with good sheets; bathroom small, but functional and clean. Breakfast was pretty good with plenty choices (cold meat, cheese, eggs, croissants, cereals, gem, tarts, nespresso coffee (solubil; would have preferred expresso beeing in Italy). Overall good value for money

Budget hotel in shopping district.
I don't really contribute to these types of reviews but on this occasion, I felt compelled to. My wife and I didn't expect much from this budget hotel and it returned seriously little in abundance. Our basic room, though freezing outside on the street, had the temperature of the central Sahara with no heater/air con controls working in the room. Needless to say we left the window ajar most of the time. The bed had a dramatic sag in the middle which caused us to constantly climb towards the outer edge leaving both of us dreary eyed on most days. The shower head in the bathroom split and broke in two on our first night but this was promptly replaced after we notified the staff. But the biggest bugbear was that there was no shower screen or curtain around the bath/shower which caused the bathroom to become soaked with water following showers. This was a first for us after many years of world travel and many more hotel stays. And don't expect a super hot shower. Temperature control of air and water in this hotel is virtually non existent so I suggest to bring your coats and bathers for all four seasons within your room. In the hotel's defence we were advised by the check out clerk that the hotel is in the process of changing ownership. I can't confirm whether this was an excuse or not!

Disappointing stay
The staff was indifferent, and the air conditioning didn't work. It's located next to a strip club, and I would recommend staying somewhere closer to the city center.

nice hotel close to center
it was very convenient hotel ,easy to reach as it is near metro station in red line going straight to RHO station where I should be in Mipel fiera .

Okay hotel- close to the train station
Easy to get to and from the airport from this hotel. It was a tad far from the city center- about a 30 -40 min walk but only about 6 stops on the train. The train is very convenient and easy to use. The breakfast was okay, nothing fancy. The staff in the breakfast room was very nice and friendly. They work so hard in the breakfast room! Ask for them to make you fresh coffee, not from the machine. The room is large but had some odd switches. They used to have a keycard system which blinked all night. Front desk staff was okay but always busy. NO safes in the room. There are a lot of good restaurants within walking distance that the locals go to. Try Da Oscars if you stay here and Gelato Guisto (sp?). Also plenty of supermarkets close by to get some water or other odds and ends. There is a fridge in the room which was great! Very close to the main train terminal- within walking distance.

My Stay In Milano
In an extreme heat wave hotel grand Puccini has great air conditioning. We arrived mid 50 percent sale days in the fashion district. Heavy people traffic. Staff was very helpful, friendly, and courteous. Although in fashion district it is a good walk to the Duomo and square.We logged 6 miles round trip include . inside Duomo. Bathrooms were older and door lamination peeling. AC was great.

It does the job, but is nothing special
We stayed for one evening in Milan. It was a trashy part of town & reminded us of Times Square NYC. The hotel is right next to a strip club. The shower in the room was basically a very small bath tub with a handle for water. The breakfast was also not very good. We just had an espresso and left. The positive thing is that it is close to the train station (~15 minute walk) and only a few steps from the main metro line. It does the job, but is nothing special.

very good location if you're interested in shopping. close to the central station and extremely close to metro station Lima, because of which you could feel the metro passing by underground. The air-conditioner is barely functional and is a big downside due to the extremely hot weather. The one upside is that the bathroom is big and two people can have shower/bath in the same time.

I feel a bit deceived by this hotel, as the lobby picture (which convinced me to book) is obviously very old, as the lobby looks nothing like it anymore!!! However the room pictures are still rather accurate. The thing is, I can't tell if this hotel is currently under renovations or not? For example, there is air-conditioning, but it is not adjustable from the room, even though there is a control panel! Anyway, that being said, for the price this is an ok hotel. It's location is rather good, especially if you're into reasonably priced fashion (H&M, Zara etc.) as they are up and down the street. The high class fashion in the city centre is about a 30 min walk, or a few metro stops. The room is a good size, and although a little dirty with a lumpy bed it was still acceptable. The breakfast was also good and the front desk staff very helpful.

It was below our expectation
The double bed was at the corner of the room so makes difficult for people sleep inside bed to get up。there is only one set of towel, when I called, I have to go down to the reception to get the towel myself, I guess because it is late and there was no other staff on duty. There is no cups for teeth brushing in the bathroom. Comparing with our stay a few days ago at Best Weatern City Hotel a crossed street, this one is NOT good at all.

Hotel is centrally located, close to public transport. There are several nice restaurants near by for dinner. The breakfast was nice, croissants, fruits, and different kinds of granola. The room was OK, nothing too fancy but unbeatable for the price. The only downside was that the room was fairly noisy due to the proximity of a major road with lots of traffic.

The hotel was fairly outdated, but they were beginning a renovation while I was there. My room was a twin-bedded single, and fairly large by European standards, clean but a bit raggedy. The bathroom was really nice. Breakfast was pretty good, but skip the croissants. Francesca at the desk was my favorite part of the visit. She was a huge help when my ATM card wouldn't work. The location was the best part: a busy shopping street just a 30 second walk from a metro stop.

Excellent location in Milan, hotel is just right at the Lima Metro station, four stops from the central Milan (Duomo) or about a 15 min walk. Plenty of food and shopping right around the area. Staff was helpful in directions and info. Great morning food from 7 - 10 am.

The hotel is Close to metro and central termini. The room and bathroom are newly renovated, very comfortable bedding, good size for a European hotel. Nice breakfast buffet. Reasonable price. There was one staff he worked at night shift, he was very unhelpful and rude. I called him "Mr.Impossible", because to whatever requests, his answers were always impossible. Other than him, it is a good hotel. I would not mind staying there again.

Grand Hotel Puccini was really nice
I thought the Grand Hotel Puccini was really nice. The room was clean, the shower worked fine, lots of hot water, the mattress was some kind of posture-pedic, firm and comfortable. The breakfast had alot of options and was good. The staff at the front desk and waitstaff was really nice and efficient, helpful and thoughtful. Milan is a big city. The neighborhood bordered on a Turkish, Kashmiri and African areas, not dangerous but interesting kinds of restaurants and shops. It can get noisy especially if they are doing some construction or renovation. Compared to US hotels the room was small, not a criticism but I guess that's what you get in Europe.

Good stay in a clean hotel.

Don't go expecting the insipid, uniform, blandness one comes to expect in big hotel chains, you need to pay a lot more for that. This is a small, pleasant, quirky hotel in a side road off the Corso Buenos Aires. I was aware of the metro trains faintly rumbling underneath after 5.30 am, but I am told by a friend, that they would still be heard from a room on the 100th floor in any hotel! Pleasant staff, super Pizzeria restaurant and café just around the corner to satisfy one's appetite. The stairwell was being freshly repainted, and (at least) a couple of the bedrooms were being refurbished while I was there.

Stayed at the Puccini for 5 nights while in Milan for work. Location is exceptional, a few steps to the Metro, and walking distance to many important sites. Plenty of places nearby to eat. Room very comfortable and quiet, perfect size. Perhaps a slightly better desk and chair would be good for somebody traveling for work, but otherwise no complaints. The excellent complementary breakfast is most definitely a plus.

I enjoyed my stay. The hotel staff were quite helpful and pleasant. I definitely would stay at this hotel again. It was only a 15-20 minute walk from Central Station and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.
