Super disappointing experience. I booked 2 rooms for my father and I for a “long weekend”. I travel for work and realistically don’t expect more from an environment than reasonable. This hotel was a huge disappointment. I want to complain about the beds not being soft but there are worse issues. For ex: the “amenities” like jacuzzi, sauna AND gym…you have to reserve in advance AND they charge you for the use (not listed on the website). I didn’t use these amenities but my dad who is a huge health nut was excited about them and then was totally shafted also b/c when he made the reservations, the dude at the front desk didn’t actually make the reservation. Long story short, huge pain in the butt. My dad also is a super early riser, the hotel advertises that they start breakfast at 7…keep in mind, this is only if the “chef” actually arrives on time for work. All in all, the hotel is new, it’s clean, but it just doesn’t function. Which translates to, stay somewhere else. I wish we had. $1600 down the drain on a 3 day weekend. Btw, don’t bet on getting any dry cleaning done here….my dad tried and instead it was returned to his room dirty. And absolutely NO accountability by any of the staff for the “mixup”. I’ve worked for 20 years in retail and hospitality. Never in my life, would I approve of my staff NOT doing something for a patron if their expectations are not met. AND this is not just an American thing. My Italian husband was pissed too.
