Poor service, miserable staff, comfortable rooms

Service was not very good, we booked 4 rooms, and I had emailed to say we would be arriving early, so if we could possible check in earlier. On arrival, at 1130am (check in time is 2pm), nothing was ready, as they were fully booked, this is obviously understandable. However, only 2 rooms were ready by 2pm, and we were told the others would be ready by 5pm. At 5pm, we were told only one was ready and the other would be ready by 6pm, then having argued with the hotel, the 4th room miraculously became available. On entering the 4th room, there were hairs and dirt all over the bathroom.
However, the concierge (especially Giovanni) was extremely helpful and helped us out a lot with booking tables at restaurant and advising us on ways to get round the city and where to eat.
Breakfast food, was very tasty, but staff were extremely miserable and rude, and nobody seemed to have any idea what baked beans were so we gave up on asking for them by the third day!
