we were given a room at the top, which had damp stains on the ceiling, not very pleasant to look at as it was not a high ceiling; the walls around the lift were also damp stains. we were moved to the first floor, which was a better room, but very close to the entrance, so you were woken up by the sound of trolleys, must have been laundry or suitcases, but very noisy room. The room was also dark as it was by the canopy, so all the daylight was cut out. You could not open the curtains as it was not very private. The shower was not very good, tight squeeze with the door and to turn the shower on you got completely wet! also the shower head was spitting out all over, so not very comfortable. For the price of the room, it was not as high quality as expected, although the bed was comfortable and we liked the tea making facilities. Breakfast was disappointing - the water in the flasks for tea was not hot, the scramble eggs were always cold, none of the dirty plates were cleared away, so it was difficult to find a clean spot for 2 people and not a space with table setting ready, you had to take from another setting. the high seats were not very comfortable. Breakfast was the most disappointing for a 4 star hotel. also the computer was not working properly, couldn't navigate around to google anything, so you had to give up and ask the receptionists.
