quaint, charming hotel

Posted May 9, 2016
Pros: Service, accommodations, location, room size and appointments.
Cons: Nothing. They have made optimal utilization of the available space and facilities.
Location: It's in the Porta Venezia area, just a 15 minute walk to some of Milan's best shopping . It's in a great residential area, but close to all you need.
The Hotel excels in all aspects, convenience, service, comfort and charm. The staff couldn't be nicer. The rooms were excellent, with outstanding linens, comfortable mattresses, internet service and breakfast. It's clearly better than a typical 4 star hotel and is a real jewel.

Great staff made all the difference

Posted Feb 22, 2016
Pros: The staff were extremely knowledgeable and very sweet. The toiletries where quite nice too and the room service was very efficient.
Cons: Bed situation Noisy room Tiny jacuzzi
Location: Quite close to the train station. Overall a quiet neighbourhood but the noise from upstairs floors in the hotel offset this.
Really super staff made up for a few important shortcomings. The double bed is actually 2 different single beds bound together by a sheet so expect to be uncomfortable at best and at worst you might disappear between the mattresses! The jacuzzi bath is tiny so expect to shower in a really small space - and I'm a small woman. Another gripe was the coffee tray was something from a 1970s hotel - and all this for the inflated price of a 'Suite'. Other than that the room was quite clean and the hotel itself seemed nice enough. If it wasnt for the super knowledgeable friendly staff I would have checked out.

great location, 15 min walk into centre, good bus

Posted Oct 29, 2015
Pros: we liked where the hotel was situated, easy to walk into town.
Cons: a more efficient computer, more inviting breakfast room, a bit more care taken to the hotel.
Location: good location
we were given a room at the top, which had damp stains on the ceiling, not very pleasant to look at as it was not a high ceiling; the walls around the lift were also damp stains. we were moved to the first floor, which was a better room, but very close to the entrance, so you were woken up by the sound of trolleys, must have been laundry or suitcases, but very noisy room. The room was also dark as it was by the canopy, so all the daylight was cut out. You could not open the curtains as it was not very private. The shower was not very good, tight squeeze with the door and to turn the shower on you got completely wet! also the shower head was spitting out all over, so not very comfortable. For the price of the room, it was not as high quality as expected, although the bed was comfortable and we liked the tea making facilities. Breakfast was disappointing - the water in the flasks for tea was not hot, the scramble eggs were always cold, none of the dirty plates were cleared away, so it was difficult to find a clean spot for 2 people and not a space with table setting ready, you had to take from another setting. the high seats were not very comfortable. Breakfast was the most disappointing for a 4 star hotel. also the computer was not working properly, couldn't navigate around to google anything, so you had to give up and ask the receptionists.

Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Level of upkeep of rooms, faucet broken, curtains unhooked, mirror dirty, no down pillows.
Location: 15 minute walk from Duomo area and in a quiet residential neighbourhood.
I Enjoyed breakfast but not the room; very basic and not well kept.

clean, nice, and small hotel

Very cosy and comfortable hotel for a bisiness trip! Although some of staffs are not willing to be supportive, most of them are very friendly and helpful. It is located in not an central area of Milan, but very close to fashion business district. I would definately stay again for the next time.

Very nice hotel in Milan

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Town House 33 is a boutique hotel, modern and comfortable. Its strong suit is its location, just outside the city center so that the hotel's neighborhood is quiet and relaxed, and yet the center can be reached by foot in 15 min or so. Our room was not large, but well designed so that we had no problems. The bathroom was large and very functional. Breakfast was good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was on the expensive side, but may be that is to be expected in Milan.

The hotel was generally good, but you have to go relatively long to get to the center. The staff was very nice to help and were very accommodating. The breakfast could be more varied and faster with their service.

-Great facilities esp w 2 bathrooms and the jacuzzi is great! -Very good service - spacious room Need to improve: - lighting in one of the bathroom is too dark - would be good if other bathroom has a mirror too
