We stayed at the Swagsman on the 26th with 3 adults and 2 young kids (0 and 4). We booked the corporate room which Expedia booking site allowed for (we paid extra for an additional person as well).
I called ahead to let them know that i would be late and they were happy to accommodate, they even set up the sofa bed for us for our arrival. Overall the stay was pleasant, the rooms were clean and spacious.
Fast forward two weeks, I made the exact same booking for the 6th of November for our trip home, it cost a little more than our first booking but I was happy to go back because of our last visit.
I figured I'd call ahead and let them know id be checking in late again, this time the same lady on the phone said your booking exceeds the max number of people. I explained that I had booked the same room 2 weeks back and they accommodated me even by setting up the sofa bed, she blamed it on Expedia stuffing up their options and said that we should be booking the family room instead of the corporate room. She wanted extra from me for that. I explained that the booking site allowed for and I even paid the extra person surcharge but she didnt offer any other options other than paying 50 bucks more, which is absurd because my infant co sleeps with me.
I booked this place to my budget, so I couldn't afford to pay extra. I ended up booking another motel down the road who was happy to accommodate us for alot better price.
I'm very disappointed in the way the Swagsman handled this
