Felt like living in my parents basement

Posted Jun 30, 2017
Had a suite but the room layout was odd. Only a small window in the bedroom that faced a wall. Was incredibly dark in the day time and insufficient lighting at night. Lots of creeks, bangs of rattling from random old machinery and people in other rooms. Definitely had better experiences in silicon valley and especially for $200+ per night.

Dated & Tired

Posted Jun 29, 2017
The hotel is tired - it's desperately in need of a refit. From the 70's era elevators, to the public spaces & rooms. Everything is worn. The rooms lack facilities (no fridge in California - what's that about?). Breakfast - not great, and at $16 it certainly wasn't worth it. Not the worst hotel I've stayed in around the Bay Area - but a long way from the best -there's much better places to stay for the money. Saving grace - it's quite close to San Jose airport.

Needs work

Posted Jun 27, 2017
Pros: location. Breakfast was good but very expensive (unless you got the free coupon)
Cons: Hotel is in a great place but they drop the ball with cleanliness and customer service.
Rooms not ready at check in time at 5:30 when we tried to check in again we were told still not ready... Desk staff found us 5 rooms but not the ones we were promised. Supposed to be a VIP hotel but they completely dropped the ball at check in about the vip amenities. Manager not on site and not available to speak to until check out. Hallways of the luxury wing were filled with dirty sheets and dishes (for 12 hours) and had an odd smell. One in the room it was clean.

Worn Out

Posted Jun 2, 2017
Pros: price
Cons: everything
Location: close to the freeways
The hotel has seen better days; patches in the wall, spots on the carpet, elevator barely works, spa is weak, landscaping is old, it's just tired. When I arrived at my room there was a pile of dirty towels lying in front of my door. The food was awful, and I should have known better, since I was the only one there. Good price, nice staff, but never again!

Helpful staff, good value and location

Posted May 23, 2017
We were looking for an inexpensive hotel in the San Jose area and this was a great place to stay if you are looking for that. Sure the hotel is in need of some renovations including out room but the staff is super friendly and helpful. The day I got there my room was upgraded to a business suite with free breakfast! Our room was spacious! And yes the room needed some love but it was nice enough. The hotel is located just outside of San Jose and it was easy to get around. I layed out by the pool in the morning. The pool could have used some cleaning but it was a nice pool area. I would definitely stay here again

Comfortable and Clean

Posted Apr 24, 2017 on Hotels
Booked on Hotels.com well in advance. Arrived right after check-in time and was greeted with, "we don't have your room available". After a few minutes of me expressing frustration and some back and forth side conversations on their side of the counter a room was found, it was an upgrade, but instead of two beds it was one bed with a pull-out. It suited our needs, was larger and we were happy with the result. It would have been nice if our room was available and no "work around" was required, but all's well that ends well. Additionally, I was under the impression that breakfast was included when I booked the hotel. I was disappointed to find that what is advertised as breakfast available simply means onsite restaurant or room service which will allow you to purchase it.
