Excellent value for two night break

Posted Aug 21, 2016
Pros: Room quality, great facilities, including free use of cycles
Location: Close to M40 but the location is very quiet with an easy drive into Thame a couple of miles away.
The room was perfect, high quality, spacious and spotless. Quiet location and great facilities for a two night leisure break.

Thank you for your feed back, David. Sorry you were disappointed not to have a room with air conditioning; we're gradually adding this to more rooms.

Good hotel, shame it's not in a village at least.

Posted Aug 8, 2016
Pros: Very nice room large clean and comfortable and some good staff.
Cons: More choice of bottles of wine in the restaurant that cost under £25.Keeping breakfast food filled up,cheaper bar prices.Coffee price well over priced
Location: Nothing within walking distance only about half hour drive
My husband and l stayed for 3nights in order to go to the Countryfile Live show at Blenhiem Palace. We also visited Waterperry Gardens so we had a good time and the hotel was very good for what we wanted but if you want to be able to walk to the pub at night or walk into the shops in the day unfortunately you can't as nothing is that near.

Thank you for your comments; glad we were ideally for your Oxfordshire visit. Hope you enjoyed Countryfile Live at Blenheim! We are less than 10 minutes drive to Thame which is a beautiful historic town filled with pubs and restaurants if you want to go out in the evening.

Great place to stay

Posted Aug 7, 2016
Pros: Location leisure facilities and room
Location: It is good for access to Oxford and Blenhiem palace, and the historic village of Thame is close by.
We spent 3nights here, really enjoyed our stay. All the staff were polite and efficient and the room was spacious and seemed newly refurbished. Food at breakfast was as expected and the dinner we had was very nice. The location is great just off the motorway with nice gardens as well as nice leisure facilities. There is some motorway noise but this is the only negative. Would definitely stay again.

Nice hotel convenient for our venue.

Lovely hotel close by the wedding that we were attending (about 15 minutes). On requesting room early to get changed, staff were extremely helpful and arranged this as quickly as possible. Reception staff were also helpful with cab phone numbers. Overall very nice and would use again if required.

Not good!

Posted Aug 6, 2016
The only reason we booked this hotel was so that my daughter could swim! However the pool had limited child times! My daughter is 12yrs old not 3! And she was with her father not a group of friends! These times were NOT made clear to us at time of booking! The bedrooms were too hot and the breakfast glass area which covers all hot food was filthy!

Sorry to hear that you were disappointed not to be able to use the pool at all times. Our children's swimming times are highlighted on our Health Club and Spa website pages to ensure that guests are aware prior to arrival. We have guests staying who would rather use the pool with no children and others who are families so we try to cater for all. Thanks for your feed back.

Peaceful location - great for a F1 weekend

Posted Jul 23, 2016
Pros: Reception were very helpful as was all staff in the hotel generally. Bar staff make a great Pimms! Beds were very comfortable.
Cons: The orange juice at breakfast is appalling. Would be nice to have an outside area from the pool to relax when weather permits.
Location: Just off a main road and good access to Oxford, silverstone and Bicester shopping village. Excellent pubs around for lunch and dinners.
Unfortunately there was a mix up with our booking for 3 rooms during the F1 at silverstone weekend between Expedia and I think the hotels central reservations . However Lorna at reception was marvellous and had it all in hand and accommodated us all - she handled the situation calmly and professionally. As the men in our group went to watch the racing we stayed in the hotel and made use of the swimming pool which unfortunately was so full we could not get loungers to lie on. Also due to the spa being a therapist short we could not have our full body massages so just had a quick shoulder and back massage, not something they could have anticipated. As we had an upgraded room with comfortable sofa area we made the most if it and enjoyed watching the tennis final.

High levels of well trained stall make this stay.

Posted Jul 21, 2016
From reception through to dinner I was impressed by the standards..,yes trainingroom platitudes are in there, but nice people from the league of Nations.. My wife badly sprained her ankle and barely managed to get back to the hotel where in addition to providing good quality first aid/treatment provided a wheel chair without which we would have been in real difficulty getting any were let alone out of the room. This allows use to continue to enjoy the hotels restaurant and food. Food standards were good in the main, the usual bought in stuff complemented by some nice local ingredients. All fresh and well presented , usual breakfast choice again fresh varied and tons of it properly cooked. Nice big room great beds all clean good 4* standard. They did not have our favorite pre dinner aperitif on our first night. " THEY HAD IT BUY THE SECOND NIGHT" I like that standard of customer service.. On the negative ...the bloody background " music"? Strange given the client base... Very clean and fresh all round, nice gardens to sit in ..We did not use the spa but plenty of others seems to like it.. At these prices you should not be disappoint its a ****+ in my view, and I should know as a member of the H.C.I.M.A for forty years. "
