October ConferencePosted Oct 4, 2015
Pros: It seemed to have had a make over. was clean and tidy and in good order
Cons: as mentioned above for the disabled or the elderly and frail
Location: conference in hotel all the time so did not go out during the time
I think my room was better than the one I occupied 2 years ago for the same conference At the moment I have a back problem which is affecting my walking and I found that there was a lack of facilities to help the disabled move about your hotel. No handrails along any of the walls in the corridors and no spare staff to transport luggage along the 'miles' of corridors.

Pros: Rooms very comfortable and quiet even though there was a wedding party going on.
Cons: Explanations to where the easier to manage corridor was to get to the bedrooms. had to lift heavy cases up a few stairs.
I picked this hotel as it was close to all the places my cousin and I wanted to visit in the Cotswolds. Stayed 2 nights should have been more. Price for the hotel very good, comfortable bar, food great, we had an evening meal, a bit expensive with 2 drinks, but worth it for the relaxing atmosphere.

Watch OutPosted Sep 6, 2015
Hotel is next to no-where at all. Desolate. If visiting Oxford or looking for beautiful countryside setting, this is NOT the hotel. Not an idyllic surrounding at all. The fact that it states it right next to Oxford, it is NOT. It is 35 pounds taxi. No car rental available. The bus service to Oxford is at extremely inconvenient times, for unknown reasons. Nothing is walking distance. WiFi slow and weak and inconsistent. The Hotel options are extremely inflexible. When we checked in the time for kids using the pool is reserved for day time only. Not past 6pm. We were told:"That's true will all UK hotel". How not true !!! In London, no such restrictions. Infact the staff could have been flexible as the pool was being sparingly used. No air-conditioning in the room. One fan provided which was rickety at best. No food delivery allowed ?!?!?! How crazy is that. The morning staff was very friendly. Breakfast is good. If visiting Oxford or looking for beautiful countryside setting, this is NOT the hotel. Its a 2 star hotel.

Clean roomPosted Sep 5, 2015
Pros: The surroundings were very pretty
Cons: Stopping people smoking at the entrance to the hotel not a good look for tourist seeing people smoking and in there bath robes.
Location: Location very picturesque
You need to inform your guests that if you have only booked for bed and breakfast then you need to book the restaurant if you require an evening meal also was told that you didn't need to book the spa facilities but was fully booked for the 2 days we were there. You also need to label your food and drinks at the breakfast buffet in the morning as had no idea what the drinks were and also the milk i.e wether skimmed or full fat that would save a lot of waste.
