Hotel Room Cleanliness

Posted Aug 23, 2016
Pros: Staff was friendly.
Cons: Provide a cleanlier bathroom and make sure it has a shower curtain. Make sure the rooms smell fresh.
I was extremely disappointed with the condition of my hotel room when I stayed here this trip. There was no shower curtain in the bathroom. The room smelled of damp sweat when I walked in. The bathroom exhaust fan was extremely dirty and filled with a lot of dust.

Disappointing Welcome, but Overall Decent Stay

Posted Aug 16, 2016
Pros: Clean rooms, decent price, good breakfast, and rooms were nice overall
Cons: The front desk (more so the manager's) attitude with customers. Have more enthusiasm for your job and MAKE people want to come back
Location: We were by the airport. It wasn't ideal as we were there for a Brewer Game. But it was also the State Fair so hotels were booked. Not much else to do.
Upon check-in, we requested to pay cash for all three rooms that were booked. Not knowing the policy, we thought we could use a card for incidentals and pay the rooms with cash. The employee ran the card and when we asked about paying cash, she advised that she already ran the card and there was not anything they could do about it. Then we were told about the $100 deposit for each room we were paying for with cash. My mother was paying and just asked to know why and the manager came around the corner and was super snooty about it. He wasn't pleasant by any means. After we got that settled, we were waiting for our cards and a gentleman came up and asked about recommendations for places to eat. The manager stated (without any emotion) that there is a steakhouse across the street that people seem to enjoy. How about a little enthusiasm or joyfulness when trying to help your customer? Otherwise the stay was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was tasty. The kids loved the fresh complimentary cookies at the front desk. Even though the stay itself was comfortable, I would much rather do a little more research to stay at a different hotel just because of how we were treated by the manager upon check-in. I like interacting with vibrant and welcoming people. Not people that act like they despise their job in every which way.

Nice hotel until you get to your room

Posted Aug 6, 2016
The exterior of the hotel as well as public area on first floor is very nice. Three things about the guest room. The mattress was in horrible shape. It needs to either be flipped or discarded. The tv had to be controlled at the set itself and two nights it went off by itself. Third, there is no easy chair. Only chair was desk chair.

Close to hotel.

Pros: accommodations are nice.
Location: We went downtown to Mader's for dinner, based on the book in the room.
There were a lot of rooms available and we got the room on the hall with the door partially primed to be repainted. It just looked shabby. Why of all the rooms, would you put us there? It was just uninviting. And there is a LARGE stain on the carpet in that room>...is it blood? Vomit? Coffee? I don't know but it's disgusting. I would suggest it is cleaned or replaced before putting a guest in there.

Staff was very friendly

Great location for accessing activities in downtown Milwaukee; 15min. Drive to downtown. Breakfast was good, however breakfast seating was limited. Overall, I'd stay again at this hotel, great value.

Nice, clean convenient

Overall very nice hotel. Great breakfast. My grandson enjoyed the pool. The only negative comment is with the television. Very limited selection of channels. Most were HD but there was no upgrade to watch them. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. I would consider a return visit.
