Museum? No - hotel!

Pros: the aesthetic, historical aspect and the warm staff
In my many years of travel, this by far has been the most amazing hotel. The interior was breathtaking and the room was so spacious with dramatically high ceilings. My children gasped as they entered the room and saw the massive picture window. Their first response was, "Oh wow, was this expensive?" to which I proudly said, "No, not at all!" The room was so reasonably priced that I was shocked at the overall quality of the hotel, especially the historical aspect (it literally looked like a museum). I felt as if we had been transported to the 1920's - original, aesthetic safe doors where a bank once stood, original light fixtures, restored elevators, and walls of information about the history. It was incredible. Aside from the art and history, the hotel was incredibly clean, and the staff was one of the warmest I have interacted with - very kind individuals. The hotel is also located approximately two short blocks from Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward in the heart of the downtown area with prime restaurants, quaint shops (more artistic than commercialized), and beautiful historical buildings. It is also within walking distance of the stunning, relaxing lakefront with a lot of activity. Our trip was during the summer so we rented bikes and listened to the free summer concert series on the lake.

Love the Front Desk Personnel!

Pros: Your employees! All of them - from the valet personnel, front desk, maid services, bar and breakfast personnel!
Cons: On Friday morning, we had to wait almost 20 minutes to get our car. I paid $30 each day and you only had 1 valet on Friday morning - too long! Sorry!
Location: Clint was quite helpful - we went to the Market Square - fun place to visit and walked in the art district. We also had dinner at the Riverwalk - Mao
My son and I were there for the National Jr. Beach Volleyball tournament and we arrived on Thursday night - and greeted by nice valet personnel along with the Front Desk Supervisor Clint. Clint made us feel extremely comfortable and he was quite helpful along being friendly! There were other front desk personnel that were positive and nice too! I forgot their names - a man with glasses and a young woman. We always felt welcome by your team. My only recommendation is that you breakfast was not available until 7 am on Saturday. We had to leave for my son's tournament so we couldn't have breakfast - a bit disappointing. However, they allowed us to have some fruit which was nice and helpful!. On Friday morning, your chef was nice and provided us with excellent service and breakfast - excellent omelets and crispy bacon! We will be back! The Hohes

Location: Third Ward
Great hotel and building. We enjoyed it very much. Didn't eat there however. Really close to the Third Ward, which is awesome. They could include parking or have a reduced cost - $30.00 per day is a little crazy.

Don't look out the window

Very nice

The room was fantastic. We enjoyed it very much. The hotel is very nice. Very helpful polite girl we delt with at the front desk. This may sound cheap but my only complaint is having to pay for breakfast. I've been to a lot of hotels with breakfast ALOT better than what we had here and it was complimentary! That was very irritating to me and my wife.
