Happy in Milwaukee.
Everything was very good with our stay. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was handicap accessible and the free breakfast had several options.

The property was close to where we needed to be and a good value. Breakfast was not the best I have ever had at a hotel.

The guy working the front desk was extremely rude. My daughters entire soccer team stayed here for our tournament and we all had pizza in the main lobby. The girls had the complimentary hot chocolate after swimming. I asked if they could bring our more as there was only a few in there. He told me no. Yet more was brought out in the morning. My son and daughter wouldn’t agree to share the bed due to fighting so I called down to see 2 extra blankets could be brought up so he could sleep on one and cover up with other one. I was told I had to come down to desk to get it when I was on 3rd floor and when I came down he told me I wasn’t allowed to have two blankets.. so my son had freeze the entire night. I was very unhappy about the customer service. I have never been treated so poorly in a hotel before. At checkin I wasn’t told the time of the pool or that they had breakfast in the morning or the times. I asked what door was closest to park to from my room and he said he didn’t know.

Looks can be deceiving, inspect thoroughly.
The hotel looked clean but the evening we arrived home on the day of check out, we got bed bug bites. We slept for one night and was in the area for a golf outing. We did not get bed bugs from golfing as the manager suggested. She refunded my stay but insisted their hotel was not to blame. Of course by the time I called her was a couple of days later as I had to get in the clinic to confirm the bites were from bed bugs. She claimed they checked the room and no bed bugs were found. Of course not! I hope they had cleaned it after I checked out that day. I never had any incident from Holiday Inn before so I always trusted my stay would be good when I book with one. Very disappointed this time. Be cautious and inspect more closely next time.

No sense of urgency from staff even when there were 6 people all waiting to check in. When entering/exiting, there was no acknowledgement from staff (hello, hi, anything). The area surrounding the hotel was not great. We ran to the grocery store across the street and an associate was telling us about an incident with a gun and something getting hit over the head bleeding. The hotel does take extra precautions, like need a key to enter after certain hours, but I would have selected another hotel had I realized.

Our stay in Brown Deer went well. The hotel is close to the school our son attends and was priced well. The area around the hotel was nice and quite as was the hotel itself. breakfast was fine but not the best I have had in a hotel.

Great staff. Generously allowed our very late check in. Always a welcoming smite. (one tiny little thing: remote would not sync with TV and buttons on TV would not change channels. Am only saying this so someone might check it out for the next person; otherwise, it was a great weekend get-a-way!!!)

My car was stolen out of the parking lot. It was parked in a row of other cars in a lighten area. Still was stolen.
