The historical society resides in an old bank and the vaults are still there. Snowfall This German eatery has amazing food and features one of the largest giant pretzels I have ever seen. Served with mustard and beer-cheese, it is a great appetizer. One of the oldest places to eat and drink in Milwaukee; Mader's started operations in 1902. Many famous people have dined here. The Milwaukee Public Market has tons of local shops and specialities. Of course there is a huge cheese shop, a bar with tons of local brews, a wine bar, fresh bakeries, local produce, and much more. Get an order of fried Wisconsin cheese curds and deep them in Ranch. Almost every restaurant will have them. One of our favorite places to get them in Sobelman's. There is no shortage of breweries in Milwaukee. One of our favorites is right on the river and has a great patio for those summer days. Make sure to visit for happy hour 4pm-6pm! It's always a good day for ballgame at Miller Park. The stadium has a retractable roof so rain or shine it's an awesome time.
If you are visiting Milwaukee several bars downtown have free shuttles to the games. We typically take the shuttle from Mo's Irish Pub on Wisconsin Ave. Lake Michigan in the Spring. Nice place to ride bicycles. Bridge to Lakefront Brewery From the River The Pabst Blue Ribbon old brewery turned into a fantastic hotel! Loved this hotel!
