Oasis of comfort near downtown Milwaukee
The Schuster Mansion is a breathtaking B&B only minutes from the bustle of downtown. It's also convenient to the Marquette University area. The proprieters are personable and creative. They did an amazing job renovating and decorating this historic building, then filled it with gorgeous antiques. Each room or suite is unique. The Prairie Sky room is the smallest room and a 3rd floor walk-up, but I love it. The owner painted to look like the sky. Guests can count on a good night's sleep. The mansion is very quiet-- eight other guests were there when we were, yet we never heard a sound. Guests have a choice of three delicious menus for breakfast, served on fine china at lace-covered tables. You can take home a memory or a gift from the lovely little gift shop, offering a variety of goods from clothing to special teas to china.

Our first night we had cocktails in the garden and Rick made a nice wood fire for us, the perfect beginning to our stay. Rick also made a fabulous different breakfast for each morning of our stay. Parking right behind the mansion and the location which is convenient to everything downtown. Went to the Marcus Center for a Broadway play with a pre-theater dinner at the new Saint Kate Hotel

Loved our stay in this charming old mansion. Owners/hosts made sure all our needs were met. I was worried about the neighborhood, but I should not have been. Felt very safe. And the breakfasts were out of sight!
