Hotel is modern, clean and comfortable. All of the staff we interacted with were very friendly. Walkable area with several restaurants and a Trader Joe’s. This was our third stay at this hotel while visiting our daughter at college.

The staff was so kind last night when we checked in. Both of the ladies were smiling, knowledgeable and easy to connect with. They were helpful and check in went smoothly. The bartender was also great and my niece and nephew loved their kiddy cocktails. We ordered pizza 🍕 Luce and swam in the pool and sat in the hot tub. The kids also loved playing shuffleboard. Our room is super comfortable and we have had an enjoyable experience.

I was not a fan of this hotel. I have stayed at Aloft hotels before and had a much better experience. The day staff was extremely rude - and did not make any effort to hide it. The night staff was wonderful. I requested an extra blanket for my bed (there was only a thin sheet) and the blanket was so rough and stiff that I could not use it. It felt more like the blanket you use on a moving truck. The towels were the same way...nearly crunchy. The mini kitchen downstairs had a ton of out of stocks for drinks. Just was not overly impressed.

I am a Professor at a large Midwestern university and I stayed at the Aloft 4 nights during a recent business/pleasure trip to Minneapolis. It turns out this was during a big NCAA basketball tournament in the Twin Cities, and the hotel was full. In addition to my very positive reviews of this hotel (above), I would like give special recognition to Aree, the front desk manger. She did an excellent job and went out of her way to help me out. During my first night at the hotel, the heater in my room broke down and Aree promptly facilitated my move to another (better) room; she also gave me a free breakfast coupon. While this seems like a simple set of transactions, it was not, and involved calls to an outside contractor (who fixes the heaters at the Aloft) as well as internal discussions with several hotel staff that came down to her educating them about the best course of action to follow, based on Marriott’s SOPs. During the rest of my visit, Aree was unfailingly pleasant and ready to help out with any needs. I should note that I sensed immediately upon my arrival that Aree was in command of the knowledge- and people- skills necessary to be an effective manager. In fact, hope that on my next visit to the Aloft she has been promoted to a position with wider influence in the Marriott organization!

Expedia lost our reservation. Check in took over a hour no remote in the room. Asked twice for one. Never got it. Pool and hot tub were out of order-main reason we booked it. Ended up just driving back home after a couple hours. Very disappointed

Hot breakfast options made to order in the mornings. Dinner options as well. Relaxed bar and lobby area with lots of artistic design. Free self-serve lemon/lime/cucumber water in lobby area. Magnetic shower door is sooo much better than the typical slide ones

There was a very fun vibe. Most of the staff was great, but there was one person that wasn't very nice or friendly. It makes a big difference when the staff seem happy to be there and to deal with you - pay them well!

Very unique property and rooms, with a great view of US Bank Stadium and downtown. If your room isn't ready at check-in time, there is no way for them to notify you when it is ready. Instead, you must guess/decide on what time might be a good time to get in line again and wait, to only find out if your room is ready now or not. When there are a lot of people checking in the same time, say for an evening football game at US Bank Stadium, that is not a very efficient, pleasant, or fair process.

This was my first time staying at an ALoft and I was thoroughly impressed. The location was perfect, the lounge area was great, full bar, and great staff. It was a hotel but it had me feel like I was home living in my luxury apartment. Truly perfect experience and look forward to staying at these locations more frequently.

Pros: Location - centrally located, basically 10-15 mins to anywhere in Twin Cities Great water pressure in the shower Decent gym for the size of hotel Cons: - Checkin staff fully ignored us for 5 minutes—not even an acknowledgement, even though no other customers were there. - Way too much chemicals in hot tub and pool. We had to get out because it was irritating to our eyes. - Parking was $25/night. I expected to pay something at this location, but it was excessive. - Lot of street noise. Not quiet. -
