Convenient to Twin Cities & Stilwater activities

Posted Dec 12, 2016
Good location. Convenient to downtown Stillwater and several shopping areas. Reasonable trip into downtown Minneapolis & St Paul without staying in the city.

Lots of buck, no bang.

$180 a night? For that? Seriously? Fine, most everything was new, but for that much you'd expect toilet paper that's less see-through than the water from the tap. Or tissue to match. Or sheer curtains (maybe that's what they used as TP). Or rooms with walls thick enough to block the sound of my neighbor fighting with her (now) ex-husband. Or a functioning rear door on the building. It wasn't a bad hotel, it was just nothing special. I stayed in an equal room in down town Chicago on a holiday weekend for $160, and the window had a nicer view than that of Menard's. It's just a hotel, bland (except the Kermit the frog green wall) and forgettable. Dial back the "we're fancy" prices.

In town for a wedding and needed a place to stay.

The staff at the hotel were very accommodating and nice. The facility was quiet day and night, which was great when sleeping. The room itself had light bulbs that needed to be replaced, and the microwave oven was not plugged in and was very difficult to do so on the entertainment unit, where it was housed. I decided to move the microwave to another location to use it, and found a dirty sock behind it. there was a full continental breakfast, which was nice, but I needed to ask the staff to refill the coffee pots, and add more eggs, as the remaining eggs in the heater, were burned. OK place to stay in a pinch.

Just ok for cleanliness and looks well worn. Scratched wood furniture in common areas, fine for a roadside hotel.

Great hotel close to shopping

Posted Oct 2, 2016
Pros: refrigerator with separate freezer in the room
Location: close to Still Water shopping and town
Don't miss the free breakfast, which is better than many hotels. Firm beds and nice indoor pool and jaccuzzi.

It was a 2 night couple only weekend to enjoy Stillwater. The town was great, the hotel was average.

Great value. Clean. Attention to details. Room felt good. Better than many hotels costing two or three times more.
