Comfy new beds

There were brand new pillow top beds! It said breakfast but only has juice and coffee, but the bed comfort made up for that.

Appreciated the microwave, fridge, iron and ironing board in the room. I asked for an alternative because the beds were extremely soft and was told they were all the same. The bathroom door had been kicked in and hadn't been replaced and there was a strong odor in the hotel.

Wasn't my best Hotels.com experience & I've been a Silver or Gold Member since '09! Know it's not their fault, just pointing out how rare it is to have a problem. Can't recall how many things were said by other guests, but feel a number of them were. First, hotel is a little hard to find & not particularly well lit. Looked run down before I entered. YOUNG girl behind desk wasn't overly pleasant, nor particularly helpful. NO place in that area to eat, you have to go one exit up to find anything! Got to my room on the first floor, it was right next to a side entry door. Normally I'd have gone back & requested another room, but I wasn't going to deal with that girl further. Room itself was tiny! Bathroom was claustrophobic & I don't normally feel that way. Frig barely got cool, even when it was on high! Heating unit was an A/C that you had to set to a high temp to get it to work. First night I set it on 70 & it was very cold in the room. Second night I had to set it to 85 to make it feel like 70. & it only worked for a short time. Bedding was marginal, so I couldn't bundle up to make up for lack of heat. I had trouble sleeping due to noise above me. Apparently not only are the walls thin, but so is the ceiling. Few positives I can offer: TV was a nice size (channel selection was poor). Microwave worked. It wasn't worth the price I paid for it. NEVER again will I stay at another America's Best Value Inn!

Hotel with bare minimum

Upon arriving to the hotel desk around 5:30, no one was around. There was a sign and a phone that had said that they had stepped away for a moment and to pick up the phone and dial 0. So I did and the guy answers the phone "yes?" Ha really? I decided to let that go. So I told him that we had a reservation. He said okay and hung up. Then he comes out of a room behind us, where he is clearly just lounging around watching TV. He came around to the desk and asked what the name was and I told him. He couldn't find our reservation, then when he did he asked how we were paying. I ha told him it was already paid for. He was confused by that. He finally got it straight after asking me for my ID. He did whatever he had to do and gave me my ID back. Then he was like oh wait I need your ID again. So then I gave it to him, again. Then he starting making our room keys. And then was like oh did I give you your ID back? Uh no it's sitting right there. Finally he gave us our room keys and my ID back and told us where our room was. Honestly this was the worse check in I've ever experienced. The room itself was not so great. Chipped wood, caulking was falling apart around the tub and sink. The painting job was ridiculously bad. All in all I would never recommend this hotel to someone.
