This was not my first stay but this time my room felt rumpled, like someone had been in there on the beds (I felt slightly confused upon entering the room). There was no blow dryer and I did not receive one upon first request, only second request. The people that hung around the parking lot made me uncomfortable with loud music and the smell of marijuana.

Nice staff, quiet and peaceful stay for a Thursday night. Hot tub jets broken but all in all we had fun.

Very isolated. Staff gave us king upgrade. Freezing cold, threadbare furniture and below satisfactory condition. Had to be moved to second floor to get a room with heat. It was slightly better condition. Upgrade was a joke.

The mini fridge had food spilled and dried in it, the bathroom floor had not been swept or mopped there was pee on the floor around the toilet went to the front desk to talk to someone about it and there was a sign there saying they were helping customers and would be right back I waited over 15 minutes and got sick of waiting! Went to the pool in the morning and there were raisins peanuts and candy wrappers all over the floor around the pool and hot tub and wads of hair in the hot tub. The staff was very nice it was just a very dirty hotel

My entire family came down with Covid and the hotel wouldn’t allow me to cancel my rooms they charged me full price for 2 rooms even tho I attempted to cancel 48 hrs before we were even supposed to stay.

I dealt with a rude staff member. My thermostat in my room didnt work properly. My bathroom was not thoroughly clean to the point where I didnt wanna shower there. I had so many small issues that I ended up checking out after spending just 1 night of the 2 that I paid for. Would not recommend staying here

Greatly Disappointed.
The gal at the front desk was friendly. Great start. The room I was in, had a clogged toilet. I got a plunger. I started plunging and found remnants from the previous guest coming up! GROSS! Then noticed splatter on the underside of the toilet seat. CLEARLY it hadn't been cleaned. Thankfully I had a travel can of Lysol in my purse. Dusty room. Crumbs on the seat of desk chair. "Dresser" where microwave and mini fridge are hidden, the doors were full of smudges. The smell of weed was CLEARLY smelled by the first floor elevator, we were on the 3rd floor. The whole end ,where our room was, smelled AWFUL!!! It was VERY strong! The smell got into our room. We both had pounding headaches and irritated throats. Our clothes and other things also smelled like weed. We felt stuck as it was New Years Eve weekend. I always look for availability in a Country Inn and Suites, I was very disappointed in this one. I knew MN is now a recreational weed smoking state. I had assumed though, that as with cigarette smoking, it would only be allowed in certain areas. Out of sheer frustration, I was going to smoke my cigarettes in my room! We couldn't crack open a window, couldn't run the fan and the bathroom fan did nothing to eliminate the smell. I'm letting others know, if they want to stay in Brooklyn Center, avoid this hotel. I'll never return. The other 3 traveling with me agree and said they'd tell others the same.

I usually, always look first for availability at a Country Inn and Suites, that's why I chose this one in Brooklyn Center. The gal that checked us in was very friendly. She was helpful when we needed a plunger for the bathroom, which wasn't our fault. After I plunged it, we saw remnants from the PREVIOUS guest. It was THEN that we noticed the underside of the seat wasn't cleaned, because there was, let me just say, brown splatter ,telling us the toilet wasn't properly cleaned. Good thing I had a travel sized Lysol in my purse. There were crumbs on the seat of the desk chair, dust found on pretty much everything. The doors of the "dresser" that hides the microwave and mini fridge, I doubt were cleaned in a VERY long time. But the very "BEST" part of our stay, was the obvious, and very STRONG smell off weed, as you got close to the elevator, our whole side of the 3rd floor, AND in our room! It was disgusting! We had bad headaches, very irritated throats. Our stuff smelled AWFUL!! Cigarette smoker's are seen as stinky & nasty, and they and their cigarettes stink up a place, therefore, no indoor smoking. BYW, as a smoker, I agree, because it does stink. But apparently that god awful skunky smell is okay, and allowed in all closed in places. We seriously would have complained and gotten our money back, had we known the area and where to go. Unfortunately for us, it was New Years Eve, so we kind of felt like we were stuck. I/we won't be staying here again.

The property smelled like pot. Police officers were called for a dispute. I moved my wife and kids into the bedroom while I slept in the front of the suite for safety purposes.

Both nights of our stay, we were awoken by fighting in the adjacent rooms that ended up in the hallway. The second night of our stay, the police were outside our hotel room door dealing with disturbances. Add to that the entire hotel smelled so strongly of marijuana my kids complained of headaches. We did not feel our safety or health was considered at this property.

When staying over New Years Eve I believed that this hotel would be quiet and calm and a great place to stay. Unfortunately it was not. On the second night (New Year's Eve) I expected a little Boise but there was a fight in the hallway that continued for almost two hours with almost 30 people involved. The police were called everyone was yelling and screaming inside the hotel right outside the door and also outside my window. I was not able to actually get to sleep until almost 6am. I requested a late checkout due to this and was only given an hour extension and had to be checked out by 1pm so I now have to make a 6 hour drive off of about 4 hours of sleep! I was highly irritated with this situation and when checking out I was just given a manager card and told to give them my complaint. Nothing was done to compensate me for the terrible experience. I will most likely not be staying here again!

Staff was very welcoming and professional. The cleanliness of the hotel was not the greatest. Hallway and room carpets are very dirty and stained. Our first room was very smoky smelling (all the hotel is supposed to be smoke free). The front desk staff was very understanding and moved us to a different room. That room was ok. I would rate higher but the cleanliness was iffy. The carpet was very worn and dirty. I dont think it had been vacuumed for a while. Fingernail clippings on the floor by the bathroom etc. The staff recommended the restaurant the 50s Grill which is about 10 min away. The food was awesome. Would highly recommend that.
