The hotel lost power for over 12 hours. Regardless of what the staff was saying it was absolutely a hotel issue, as we were the only building without power. The staff was not helpful. This happened from 8pm to roughly 9am the next morning. There was no heat, no extra blankets provided, no offer of compensation. Terrible service!!

Was there for a brief business trip. Large, well-maintained hotel. Staff were very pleasant, in particular Leo, who I believe may be the owner. A great stay, and when I'm back in Minneapolis on pleasure my wife and I will certainly stay longer. Thank you Leo!

Expedia canceled my reservation and got another hotel for us. We did not stay at the Crown Plaza because their electric power was down and they could not check people in. They kept saying that it would take 20 min to get the power back. Finally, after midnight, I went to another hotel, my child had fallen asleep on a chair in the cold and dark lobby. If it wasn’t because I contacted Expedia, I would probably still be waiting for the electricity to come back to check in. What bothered me was that their power was down for hours before I arrived and they did not notified us or have an alternate plan for the guest that couldn’t check in, other than lie and ignore us. I understand that they were overwhelmed by the guest who were already staying there and couldn’t go back to their rooms because the elevators and card keys were not working, but not caring and just leaving us waiting without giving us another alternative was wrong. They could have made arrangements with another hotel for the night and taken us there. Or at least they could have given us notice and accurate information so we could have made the appropriate arrangements rather than just waiting, especially because I was with my child.

Close to MOA and the room was very large for the price. Clean and quiet but the bathroom lights around the mirror didn’t work and the TV did not work well. No instructions for the guide, etc. No channel guide etc. As always a bunch of young kids in the hot tub with toys, jumping in etc. IMHO hot tubs should be for 16 . although there’s a sign which states that kids must be accompanied by an adult, there was no adult to be seen. I blame the hotel for failing to enforce it but they did not care when I went to the front desk with my concerns.

stayed here because its location to MSP, as international flights are very early departure. We stayed here during a snow storm, and facility was under staffed because of weather, but the staff on hand was excellent, in handling the crises.

Will never recommend or book here again. Booked it specifically for being a pet friendly hotel. NOT pet friendly at all. Was harrassed by one staff while others apologized for him. Stating I was unable to leave my pet at the hotel, i needed to take them anytime I left AFTER paying a $75 pet deposit & nothing stating this in rules/regulations when I booked the hotel weeks prior nor was anything said when I called to double check, just as I was checking in after driving 4 hrs for our stay. I was told "do not leave your dog here alone. Take it with you anytime you leave and if it barks, we call the police and your reservation is cancelled." A PET FRIENDLY HOTEL THAT MAKES YOU PAY A PET DEPOSIT!!!! Kindly told him I booked this as we would be visiting the mall of america and he would be in his kennel in the room as to not destroy anything. Was called MULTIPLE times threatening to have the police called as "dog was barking so much 2 whole floors complaining". Each time, I drove back to check and THE DOG WAS SLEEPING. Keep in mind with GPS and time of ended phone call, I arrived within 7 mins. Ended up cancelling the rest of out stay and drove home. Needless to say, my son's Easter suprise was ruined and NOT PET FRIENDLY

My family and i stayed here during our trip to Mall of America. Its a great spot to stay if you are visiting the MOA. Its no nore than 5 minutes away. Hotel was clean and had all the usual modern amenities. Very quiet despite being so close to the airport. We felt very safe as anyone taking the elevators needed to swipe their room key first. Negatives: we called down to the front desk to request more towels and shampoo and we were told they dont bring stuff up to customers rooms. I had to go down and get it myself. Also, front desk staff was just never on the same page about where we were allowed to park.

A little dated room had what looked like a blood stain on the carpet, chair was broken and tv/fridge cabinet looked like it came from second hand store, but the bed was nice it it was clean with plenty of pillows

I booked a room for one night online and paid in full and nowhere it told me I needed to be 21 to book the room. So after me and my girlfriend got to the hotel and brought all our stuff in I went to the front to check in and I was then told I needed to be 21 and that we couldn’t stay there. So me and my girlfriend had to try to find another place to stay at 10:00 at night. The guy at the front desk was very rude. Horrible experience and I will never be recommending this place to anyone ever. You guys should be ashamed. 0/10

Don’t be fooled by pictures this hotel has not been updated since the 70s the whirlpool is all cracked jets didn’t work sauna was out of order whirlpool was full of human dead skin and products too much chlorine in pool. Hotel has apartments being rented to very shady people. Breakfast downstairs was gross. Staff does not know what they are doing I called to complain never received a call back from property manger. Still looking for refund we left a day earlier because of how nasty this place was. A man tried to get into the elevators that did not live there and was looking for his gf he keep harassing costumers that he lost his fob key. Very unsafe for families. I don’t understand why Expedia has this place come up in the search engine.

Room was dirty, pool and hot tub need work. The hot tub had tons of loose tiles and areas with missing or cracked tiles. Additionally, the jets in the hot tub didn’t work and the sauna was out of order. The whole place had a vibe of needing attention and repair. Also, the restaurant didn’t open until 5pm and there is nowhere else in the hotel or nearby for food and drinks.

We ate at the restaurant for dinner. We sat at the bar. The woman was inattentive and ignored us for most of the time. The table server stepped up to take our order.

Greatly surprised this is an IHG member - no soap, “hand towels” as bath towels, inconvenient overnight parking, and awkward check in process. Will not recommend this hotel at all. Again, IHG should be embarrassed.

The hotel is in need of massive upgrades and a good deep cleaning. The pool area is very large, odd to get to, but very outdated and just looked and felt dirty. The rooms are very small, outdated and dingy looking. They need to deep clean the hotel rather than surface cleaning. Restaurant for breakfast was good, staff was very kind. It felt very different than the hotel, it was clean and had a nice cozy atmosphere. To sum it up, hotel is mediocre, needs to be upgraded and cleaned.

It was noisy. But the pool was great. It is one of my favorite hotels.
