The room was clean and decorated well. Breakfast was well done. Unfortunately, there were multiple issues we had that ruined our experience and we would like to request a refund or rebate. The room was freezing and adjusting the thermostat did not help, even when turned up to the mid to high 80's. The lobby staff told us to simply "turn off the fan and try again" which did nothing. They did not inform us that the heating engineer was available and by the time of our repeated complaint, they informed us that the engineer was gone for the night. We asked for an extra blanket which a very rude lobby staff member said she would bring when she had time. OVER 1 HOUR later, nothing had arrived and I called the lobby to again ask for a blanket which they finally brought 15 mins later. The blanket they provided was coarse, cheap, and looked unclean and we did not feel comfortable using it. We chose this hotel for a romantic trip and they failed to provide basic necessities. We were cold for the rest of the night and day and as my boyfriend did not feel comfortable settling in for the night while waiting for the staff to knock with an extra blanket, he was forced to stay up waiting for what turned out to be almost 2 hours, only to be disappointed with what arrived. We planned to share one night there and the night was incredibly uncomfortable and ruined by rude staff.
