We planned our trip well in advance through Expedia and prepaid. We booked a room for 5 and made the erroneous assumption that there would be room for 5 to sleep. We requested a cot for the 5th person and were told they had none. When I asked for a solution I was told I could have extra blankets and pillows. So I asked for 4 pillows (enough to makeshift a bed). I was told I could have 2, I said I need 4, she said 3, I said 4...finally got 4. It was not comfortable so we went out and bought an air mattress (which we had at home had we known we would be short a bed). It really seems to be common sense that if you accept a reservation for 5 then you need to have a place for 5 to sleep.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Minneapolis Bloomington Mall of America. I'm very sorry to hear of the negative experience you had. I know just how frustrated you are, and I assure you we are frustrated as well. Unfortunately, you booked through an independent site that we do not have control over. We will once again attempt to resolve this issue with them to see if we can prevent this from happening in the future. We encourage you to let Expedia know as well, so they will update their policies. We hope if you are ever back in the area, we will have another chance to host you.
