We stayed at this location on Saturday, August 20th for a last minute staycation that we booked on Orbitz that same morning. When we arrived, the desk clerk Jeanette had no record of our reservation. She advised me that their computers had been down for 3 hours that morning and that reservations were trickling in and we could hang out or check back later. We checked back and a room was available. At 7:30pm, young boys began running up and down the halls, screaming and slamming doors. Boys will be boys, so we let it go for a bit. An hour later, we heard them calm down after what sounded like a chaperone telling them to settle. That lasted 5 minutes, and for the next 2 hours straight, it continued. The next morning, we were getting ready to leave, and as we pulled the sheets back to make sure we hadn’t left anything, we came across mouse feces. I went down to the front desk to check-out and was once again “greeted” by Jeanette. I told her I wanted to make her aware of how bad our stay was, to which she responded, “oh because of the sports team?” I said, “Yes, that was very irritating, but what was also bad is the mouse poop we found in our sheets.” She replied with, “Oh we’ll get right on that. If you hadn’t booked your hotel online, we could have comped your stay.” 1) I wasn’t asking for anything, but wanted to make you aware of the situation. 2) Telling me that by booking online that there is nothing you can do for me is like slapping me in the face.
