love the historic characterPosted Sep 29, 2010
we have always wanted to stay in this historic hotel and great location. Food, amenities, the new bike rentals, you loose yourself in this old world get away in the heart of a modern city. Can't wait to go back.

Magnifique in MinneapolisPosted Jul 7, 2010
The Nicollet Island Inn is one of the most beautiful and and romantic places we have ever stayed. Every detail was exquisite and we can't say enough about the attentiveness of the staff. We would recommend this to anyone looking for an out of the downtown area magical Minneapolis moment!

All Around Positive ExperiencePosted Jun 2, 2010
This inn has a wonderful location and you can walk to many of the riverfront district attractions and the interesting old North East area. The free and ample parking was a bonus. Had some of the best and friendliest service across a number of personnel that we've experienced. The meals we had were excellent and the historic bar is charming. Rooms were comfortable. We will definitely return.

Major DisappointmentPosted Apr 25, 2010
We really liked the hotel location and its non-chain qualities and appearance. It felt like an oasis in the city. After our initial disappointment that we did not get the king we'd reserved, we found the room itself to be nice. However, the bed was so dreadfully uncomfortable that we had an equally dreadful night's sleep. It was one of those beds that each sleeper can supposedly adjust to their level of comfort; however, there was no comfort to be had this night, as the bed just didn't work properly. My husband barely slept, and I woke up with a backache. When we told the clerk about this problem on check-out, all she did was remove the tax from the room charges, with little in the way of apology. When guests report that they have had a "brutal" night in a hotel room, the hotel ought to do more to make things right, I think. We will certainly never go back to this hotel. P.S. Hotel restaurant was resoundingly mediocre as well. So much for our relaxing little stay away from home!

BLOWN AWAY!Posted Jan 7, 2010
Fabulous service. Relaxed, but attentive staff. They went out of their way us feel comfortable and welcome. We never had to worry about a thing. Dinner in the restaurant was absolutely amazing as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very nice, quaint inn. Will visit again.Posted Oct 2, 2008
Not many rooms - each one a little unique. In a very nice/safe location. Pricier upscale restuarants within walking distance. Near a walking trail. Room was very nicely furnished - old fashioned/antique motif. I was on business and chose the inn based on price and location - next time I visit Minneapolis with my wife on vacation I will visit again. Nice, friendly place.
