Attractive "downtown" suburban hotelPosted Oct 5, 2015
Pros: Location - close to many urban activities.
Cons: Carpets in rooms need replacement.
Location: Loads of restaurants, malls, library, city pocket lake and park, famous Byerly's supermarket, specialty shops, furniture stores, big department stores
Edina Residence Inn is located in a suburban "downtown" area, close to Southdale mall shopping, movie theaters, restaurants, a huge regional library, a pocket lake you can walk around, another park under glass, yet 20m from downtown Minneapolis by freeway, maybe 25m by major city streets. Clean, modern, with huge lobby for free breakfasts, TV monitors, room suites with multiple TVs, very plush beds, good service. Carpeting in rooms could use a replacement, but refrigerators, stoves available for in-room cooking. Rates are reasonable considering all the urban activity in Edina and Bloomington.

Bon emplacementPosted Sep 29, 2015
Hôtel situé entre le galleria mall et le mall of America. Lit confortable mais petite salle de bain. Petit déjeuner correct. Accueil pas trop chaleureux.

Location: Bathroom fixtures need some repair
I am not disabled but for some reason the manager put me in a disabled room. It was a little inconvenient dealing with the disabled room features.

Lia, Thank you for your review and I am sorry for your experience with being placed in an ADA style suite. When we are sold out we may utilize these rooms and a guest who do not require the ADA enhancements may be placed in these room types. I do hope you return and we have the opportunity to serve you again. Thank you

Hotel staff - Front DeskPosted Aug 18, 2015
My cousin and I checked in at the same time. Got rooms across from each other. When we arrived back at hotel, after 11pm, the staff had moved my cousin's possessions and moved her to another floor. She knew nothing about this situation. I found out when I went to put a newspaper article under her door and heard voices inside and had just talked to her as she was on her way back to the hotel. We never got a good reason why she was moved to a different floor, why her possessions were taken out of her room she checked into earlier in the afternoon. My cousin asked that she be fully compensated for her room, was told no Manager was on duty during this day to authorize. Took Manager's business card with us. At checkout, her bill was more than what her confirmation said it was going to be. The clerk did correct this. She was the same clerk that checked us in on Saturday afternoon and made sure that our rooms were across the hall from each other. Manager, has not been cooperative, nor called my cousin back on Monday, with their side of the story as of 4pm. My cousin called her late this afternoon, left a message, but the Manager never returned her call. Expected more from the Marriott - Residence Inn.

Short stay, with a small kitchen serves us wellPosted Jul 12, 2015
Pros: Kitchen with enough supplies to get us cooking for a couple of days, cozy king bed and quiet.
Cons: The "L" shape of the kitchen made it hard to navigate.
Location: Lots to do nearby, if you have little ones the attached Edinborough Park is great!
Traveling with a child with severe food allergies can be a challenge, we require a kitchen to prepare food. This residence in was just what we needed, . The room was clean and comfortable, a bit small for four but, we were really only there to sleep and eat. It was quite and the staff were very helpful and professional. Would love to stay there again.

Nice hotel and plenty of roomPosted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: Liked that it had a full kitchen and separate living area
Cons: Size of the bathroom, way too small
Location: Close to our son and have no idea of activities close by, not the reason we selected it
We stay here once a year because it's very close to our son's apt. and work
