This property was exactly what was needed for this visit. The place is conveniently located off the highway and there were several options for dining within short walking distance. The staff were kind and accommodating. While the hotel is definitely showing its age and could use some renovations to spruce it up (I’m looking at you, worn and stained bathtub), it was remarkably clean and most importantly quiet. The included breakfast was wonderful, offering pretty much everything: different versions of eggs, meats, breads, cold, hot, savories and sweets. The indoor pool was very popular and the strong chlorine smell in the lobby lets you know the pool is there. So did all the wet, bathing suit-wearing kiddos gleefully running around. Once in the elevator, all was quiet. I’d recommend this hotel.

This hotel is convenient to several major highways, but in a safe and quiet location (I used to live nearby, so I can vouch for the neighborhood). It's about 20 minutes from the airport. There are many dining options nearby - fast food and sit-down restaurants. Front desk staff is professional and friendly. My room was comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The shower has great water pressure. The breakfast is very nice - lots of hot and cold options. I appreciated the inclusion of turkey sausage and gluten free muffins. I usually stay with friends or family when I'm in town, but if there's ever another occasion when I need a hotel, I would definitely stay here again.

There was a housekeeping error and our room was not ready until 9pm!! The staff was extremely kind and felt bad but this doesn’t change the fact we had to wait so long for our room. My daughter had a dance competition early the next morning and needed to be in bed early.

This Holuday Inn Express is only an average type of hotels. We have had stayed in far more nicer, cleaner & much better morning hit breakfast than this ine at Minnetonka, MN. The bathroom was at its worst!!! See and listen to its "exhaust fan", noise like a freight train. Holiday Inn Express, Minnekonka you fail miserably! Sorry, no place to attach pictures, so far.

We have 4 peoples ( 2aldult and 2kids)try to stay in the hotel. But they were giving us a small room with double twin beds.They didn't have a micowave and fridge in the room.And the room had a smell bad too.Although we booked on Expedia before we came but they told me the room sold out👎.How's bad for the services. The girl works in front desk at night time.She was so rude 😕 I was feeling so bad 😔

Friendly service, less than stellar condition
Service was friendly and inviting. I was greeted as an IHG Silver Elite member, which was nice. It was a bit frustrating that another Silver Elite member in our party, who checked in earlier, was given a nicer room because of his membership level. I found it odd. The pool was closed, which was disappointing. When it opened on the second day, it was too cold in the indoor pool to swim. Part of why we booked was the pool. In all, the facility was not as clean as we expect from an IHG brand hotel.

i didnt have a microiwave or refigerator in the room so came back with expensive letfovers and no where to put them or reheat i was shocked that it wasnt in a king hdcp room tremendously disapointing

We went here for a weekend getaway and it was great! When we first pulled up to the building, I was a bit leary but it is way nicer on the inside! When we checked in the person at the front desk was amazing - she moved our room because there was a group of kids near the room we were originally placed. The room was very clean and cozy. The only negative for us was that there wasn't a mini fridge in the room, which we will often bring our own snacks and drinks. This was just something we didnt realize (not something that was advertised incorrectly). This hotel is near lots of food options, which was convenient - the hotel even gave us some coupons for places nearby. Breakfast was great - way better than most at hotels we've been to!

The staff was amazing everyone was so kind and welcoming. The pool heater recently broke so they were working on their emergency heater, so it was really cold. But overall it was a great hotel.

Renfest Wknd Overnighter
Very close to Minnesota Renaissance Festival (22 minute drive). Comfy bed,and my daughter loved the pillows. Jacuzzi was warm and bubbly, breakfast was very good. Planning on staying here next year for Renfest

First of all I booked at Chanhassen through Hotels.com and I ended up at Minnetonka. I needed an accessible room snd my room was not. My sons wheelchair could not fit in bathroom or between the beds. Was terrible. No refrigerator or microwave. I will not use Hotels.com or stay at a Holiday Inn or Express ever again.

Broken Promises
We received a call at 9:30AM the day of our booked stay from Holiday Inn Express to say that they did not have a room with two queens which we had booked a week prior. We needed two queens since our family is four including two preteens so a king only was not going to work. They said that when you book through Hotels.com that you get the last rooms they have left and that our booking came in after all rooms were rented. That makes no sense to me even now but the person I spoke to said they call other IHG hotels to find me a suitable replacement. I didn't hear anything and got worried so called back at 1PM to find out he had not done any checking as he stated. It was the same guy and dude just didn't care. I said I needed a room in MSP so I accepted the king only room if they included a roll in bed. The TV in our room would not allow us to connect our laptop to play kids movies and the TV that was provided to the room must have been over the air content because it was a poor mix of analog and digital and half the channels would not come on for us. The icemaker on the 4th floor was plugged in but not making ice. The wifi was very weak and we could only load a webpage from time to time with zero chance of streaming anything. Breakfast was terrific and is why we chose to stay with this chain in the first place. After an uncomfortable sleeping arrangement and pretty much zero tech throughout the night I would caution anyone else who wants to stay here in the future.
