They didn't want me to stay

Anthony, the front desk associate working late at night, an older gentleman who had an attitude to match that of a tired parent who can't seem to put they're 4 year old son to bed past 5 am and has work an hour later, gave me the worst experience I've had at this hotel. Normally my stay is very welcoming, but this time, I was kept from being able to settle into my prepaid king size room. Not to mention, my deposit was never returned, which led to me not having a meal for the next 3 days. I refuse to book here ever again.

No Towels in the Room - Rude Condescending Staff

The first night that we stayed at Hotel Iris we were kept awake all night by a Patron in another room partying and yelling obscenities all night. The next morning l called the front desk requesting more Towels because we only had 2 of the small half size Towels in our room, we waited Towels never came so we had to make due with the two small ones. We then left for the day came back to beds made but our trash cans still full & over flowing. The next morning we had reserved a Harbor Cruise & needed to be ready early & discovered that not only did we not have new Towels but the 2 miniature ones we had from the day before were now gone as well, we had ZERO Towels in our Room! We called the front Desk & was told that they did not have ANY Towels available, none!! We explained that we were very upset & needed Towels immediately as our San Diego Trip had a schedule & we did not have time to wait on Towels. We waited as long as we could but the Towels NEVER came. We had to shower & drip dry or use our clothing to dry off . That evening when we got back we went to the front desk and were treated very hatefully & rudely by an older gentleman that was at the counter, had we not been scheduled to leave early the next morning we would have checked out of the Hotel immediately right then & there!

Cozy hotel, well located .

Our time was well spented. I was well rested, it was quite and clean so it was easy to sleep. The staff was courteous and professional so it made it easy to check in and out.

Ok but not great

No amenities at all. A bed and four walls. Plenty of other hotels right next door like Hilton, Marriott and Holiday Inn. All have amenities and continental breakfast. I should have spent the few extra dollars.

Bugs and towel shortage

I constantly saw bugs in my room and there was always a towel shortage when I went to the front desk.

Jetted Tun was nice and actually clean! Automatic motion sensor lights all work well, Big Tv, very nice place!

You get what you pay for...

The art in the rooms was the most disappointing (the whole entire wall next to the bed was a random woman's face), then the A/C didn't work in 4 of the 7 rooms we had to go through. Their "queen" bed is really a full. No individual soap/conditioner/shampoo bottles. Clumps of black hair on our blanket, all over the floor. Pee on the toilet when we got to the room that actually worked for us.

Nice for a short stay

Hotel is well located. Rooms are small but well kept. Parking is included which is a plus. Stayed in a “suite” which was basically a small room where they added a counter with a stove and fridge. It was a good stay, though cleaning crew did not clean our room one day.

Okay hotel but needs some work.

The room looked nice and clean but the bed was so uncomfortable. I felt the springs along my back. There was almost nothing in the room either. Just a bed, the tv, the table the tv was on and like one chair. The room was so blank it looked like they might have been remodeling it still. The bathroom area was nice. However they had these chairs bolted to the wall and high up, it looked like you were supposed to put your bags on them I think. But they stuck out so much I was afraid to got my head on them. Also, the tv wasn't working at first. I had to fidget around with it for like 10 minutes which is not something I want to do when I'm on vacation. I couldn't call the front desk to ask them how to fix it because although they had a phone, none of the shortcuts were listed, so o had no way to reach the front desk unless I walked to the office which I didn't want to do. I wouldn't choose to stay here again unless they fixed these issues.

hotel staff is very nice. But we had to keep asking to for more towels and toliet paper because they didnt give u enough and we had to wait! everday
