Away From It All - Most Relaxing and Welcoming

Posted Nov 20, 2017
Pros: Middle of busy area but felt you were in the country as trails were closeby.
Cons: Perhaps a fridge in the room.
Location: Trails, shopping and restaurants.
Stayed here recently with a friend and just wanted to get away from the hussel and bussel of life. Great place to relax and enjoy the amenities of the Inn. Walk on trail nearby was so very relaxing. Staff were great and room was very clean. Would definitely recommend to others and stay again in the future.

Quaint & Comfortable in the Heart Of Mississauga

Posted Nov 13, 2017
Loved it! Great location, secluded yet in the heart of the city (Mississauga). Will stay there again.

Excellent hotel close to college

Posted Nov 12, 2017
Pros: Lots of channels on TV and you don't have to use steps or elevator to get to your room at least where I was staying.
Cons: Room could be a little bigger but I chose basic one bed room.
Location: Close to downtown Mississauga and University of Toronto campus in Mississauga. Lots of shopping centres nearby and other activities are in Toronto.
Hotel room was a little small but very clean and renovated recently. Bed was comfortable and sheets where changed daily. I went to visit the nearby college which is in walking distance from the hotel. There is a spa which I did not use but it would probably be a good idea for couples.

Beautiful hotel in a nice area

Posted Nov 5, 2017
This hotel is very nice .. our room was very tiny but really only needed it to sleep in so it was fine .. the spa looks wonderful.. would love to go back and enjoy more of the services available .. but would request a larger room.

Thank you for staying with us. Let us know when you're back in the area. In future I recommend that you book a Traditional room. They are larger than our Junior Traditional rooms.

Room was very cramped and lacking many of the niceties an inn this calibre should have. e.g. there was an ice bucket but no wine glasses. Heater did not work well and we could get the temperature above 63F.

Rural coziness in the heart of Suburbia

Posted Nov 4, 2017
Pros: Quiet, convenient location, beautiful grounds.
Cons: Would be great if there was self-service coffee or tea somewhere on site.
This quaint inn is the perfect mix of sophistication and charm. The rooms are comfortable and cozy with a touch of history and the grounds and facilities are well kept and staffed by a charming, helpful crew. Beautiful views from our window made us feel like we were at a cottage retreat.

Thank you for staying with us. We look forward to having you back. The valley right now is a beautiful collage of colour. A rarity amongst the city scape.

A beautiful looking facility and a very nice room.

Posted Oct 31, 2017
Pros: It's very quiet.
Cons: The stopper in the sink didn't work.
Location: It's tucked into a valley of residential apartment buildings and next to a retirement home. Many restaurants 5-10 minutes away.
I didn't know whether there was a restaurant, although I didn't ask. I went out for dinner. The place feels more like an old-fashioned English estate house than anything else. Clean and friendly.

Not quite what I thought.

Posted Sep 11, 2017
Pros: It is a very attractive hotel from the outside and within the foyer
Cons: Antique furniture and table lamps in rooms need repair. Coffee makers in rooms or a coffee/tea station in foyer would be nice.
Location: Location is in a quiet residential area however in is very close to shops, restaurants and services etc.
An older stone inn on a very well manicured property in Mississauga. The staff were very pleasant although unable to help us out in a couple of instances which along with a few other annoyances would cause me to pause before returning to this spot. The Glenerin is not the place for a couple to stay on the weekends when it becomes basically a venue for wedding and other social functions whose guests take over all public areas of the hotel without consideration for others staying there . It was difficult to walk through the both through the lounge and up and down the stairs at the entrance way to the inn due to the many wedding guests which had chosen these areas to gather in large numbers and in the case of the latter, to drink and smoke. We were also disappointed to learn upon checking in that the inn was unable to take a reservation for Sunday Brunch, again perhaps due to those attending a wedding having long ago booked the available seats. On my drive home my wife remarked that with all the food which was available at the buffet table you would have thought they might have offered us the option of partaking in the brunch with our eating on the patio or even in our room. Any suggestion for breakfast would have be welcome as would have been a simple cup of coffee as we made our way for breakfast in Port Credit. To sum up --- a pretty place to have a social function but for those traveling on their own or as a couple on the weekend, best choose another place to stay.

No rest or working TV at this Inn

Posted Aug 18, 2017 on Hotels
The grounds are beautiful, quaint, cute, etc and our room was clean. However, we were not aware or warned of a wedding that would last past 1am in the morning. The music was excruciatingly loud and there was no peace. Also, the TV would work intermittently so we'd have to reset it every half hour or so. We had to get up at 6am to catch our flight. For having to endure that much noise, they should have a "noisy" rate built into the weekend prices because that was just unacceptable. When we told the people at check-out, not one simple apology was uttered from anyone. It was a sad experience. Not sure how the weeknights are but definitely not recommended for weekend nights.
