Walking distance to a lotPosted Aug 15, 2015
Pros: Early breakfast, late check in, air conditioner worked great. lol
Cons: The shower head was awful
Location: Good eating with in walking distance. There was so many things we could have done had we had the time. NExt time we will for sure.
The hotel was clean the staff was friendly. The pool was heated the bed had some burn marks on it for being a non smoking room I was a little put off by that. The shower head was very poor. This hotel was very close to restaurants and lots of shopping walking distance. I was very pleased over all. We will defiantly book again.

Don't even consider staying herePosted Aug 12, 2015
Pros: Not one thing.
Cons: Tear it down and build a park in its place.
Location: Hard to find
Everything in in my room was old and in poor condition. The drapes did not close properly. The carpet was dirty and stained in multiple places. The furniture was old and wouldn't sell in a yard sale. The room had a musty odor. I had to turn off the small fridge because it made too much noise. I didn't feel right about sleeping in the bed so I slept in my sleeping bag on top of the bed. This place was so bad I should have slept in my car.

Okay motelPosted Aug 12, 2015
No bathtub, just a shower. Very comfy bed. Staff was friendly but the housekeeping lady didn't say who she was, just knocked and then walked in on us. Right next to main road so kind of noisy but didn't keep us from sleeping. Room smelled strongly of something. Cleaning chemicals, maybe.

Not the greatestPosted Aug 11, 2015
Pros: Great restaurant near by.
Cons: Hot water.
Location: Far from I-90, but there's a good bar/casino a half a block away.
Room was ok, clean, but nothing to write home about. Hot water did not work. That did it for us. We slept, got up and left.

Do not stay here!Posted Aug 10, 2015
This was the dirtiest most outdated room we have ever stayed in. My son found crumbs in his 'clean' bedsheets. The sink did not have warm water and the shower was mildly warm for one shower. The carpet was filthy and hasn't been vacuumed in a very long time. Do not stay at this motel.

Price of $94 seemed too high for this older room. However, it was peaceful and clean dispite the scent of smoke in the non-smoking room.

Well, no one died.Posted Aug 8, 2015
Pros: I liked the fact that we only had to be there for seven hours, which at the time, seemed longer.
Cons: That's a difficult question to answer. I'd counter with what, if anything, could not be improved. The answer would be nothing...
Location: Missoula is in Montana. And, per the staff, is underserved by hotels. Therefore, they can charge outrageous rates for poor quality rooms.
I'v stayed in hundreds of hotels and the Howard Johnson in Missoula, against all odds, is likely the worst hotel I've experienced. After a long day of driving (early August, 2015), all we wanted was a clean, comfortable room. This evidently exceeds the competency level of the staff in Missoula. The room's A/C was inoperable. Check that. It ran, but only blew hot air. We were told by staff that "someone who knows something about air conditioning" would stop by. They didn't specify when, so that must have happened later... or not. The bathroom door knob was hanging loose. The two-piece security lock on the main door was missing part one (of two), making it inoperable. Upon leaving in the morning, we noticed that the concrete steps had in place been replaced by wooden steps (painted to look like concrete) with bent nails exposed. They literally replaced steps with reclaimed wood... and left in the old nails. The good news, we're alive and survived the experience. I'd recommend the Howard Johnson's in Missoula to people that I do not like, masochists and/or people who do not sweat. That's a very thin cross section of humanity.

If you are in a bind it is okay.Posted Aug 6, 2015
I am used to a real soft bed and these beds are hard. The bathtub needed a good scrub because of the no slip grips. The staff is great and friendly. They would do great anywhere.

I need of some major upgrades, rooms get hot when a/c not cranked, non smoking rooms, but smells like they were smoking at one time. Seemed to be a popular spot for bikers, who have zero respect for their bikes noise late at night and early in the morning. Revving and letting them idle right outside the rooms doors.
