“My husband stayed at Deangate Motel due to working locally. The motel was clean staff helpful in that they let him keep the same room when he extended his stay due to not finishing his work on time. The room he was in he could see his work van clearly and the carpark was super safe as it joined the police station carpark so gave him peace of mind .will stay again as a couple so we can explore the area locally which is walking distance to Lydney. Beautiful countryside for walking.”

“This was a third stay. Good hotel, within reasonable walking distance of Ross-on-Wye & well situated for exploring the surrounding countryside & towns. Great to have on-site parking. Owners are friendly & helpful. Appreciate being able to book a single room.Clearly marked emergency exits. Both rooms previously stayed in were up steep, narrow stairs. Didn't find these a problem, but vsitors with mobility difficulties would be advised to check accessibility with the owners before booking.”

“Ideal for Chepstow racecourse. Not much else about the area without walking or taxis. On checki the weirdest thing happened they wouldn’t take payment and told me was a,ready paid for. Rooms we had were small but the bed was comfy. Rooms ok some could do with a lick of paint. Breakfast is ok I’m fussy about food so didn’t eat a lot just toast and coffee but the others in my party had the full English not so sure about paying extra for an extra sausage etc. hotel was very noisy on the Saturday……
