Clean & simple accommodations

Posted Dec 2, 2016
Pros: Clean, convenient, affordable
Cons: Small details: infrared light in bathroom, would have been nice if heater vent could be adjusted about another inch or two upward, new showerhead
Location: It's right on the main street through town which is the highway. The southeast entrance to Canyonlands National Park is 15 minutes north.
As long as your expectations are properly adjusted, you will be satisfied—maybe even pleasantly surprised. Everything was clean and in good repair so I have no complaints. Stayed in a double room with comfy beds. There was enough room to move around. Was in the back building and main street/highway noise was not a problem. There were 3 sturdy but movable chairs, which was perfect for traveling with my 9 & 5 year old. The desk was a good size and had a lamp with an outlet in the base. Along with the low dresser, night stand, and small fridge, there was enough surfaces for pocket contents, devices, plates, a cooler, etc. The closet had a suitcase valet and a few hangers. IIRC, there was one of those small coffeemakers on top of the microwave on the bathroom sink counter. A few things you may want to know: 1) My fridge was tiny. If I was here more than a night or 2 and exploring the area, I'd be wishing for a larger one. (Was about the same footprint as my 28 qt cooler.) 2) The bathroom sink water pressure/rate was very low. Not unusably so, but close. 3) Speaking of, the bathroom sink was almost perfect height for my 5 year old. Woe to anyone taller than 6 ft. 4) In late November the bathroom was a little chilly (it was snowing the morning I departed). While the heater worked fine for most of the room, I propped the hair dryer on the floor before getting in the shower, which helped. A suggestion for management: install an infrared lamp (there's already a timer in there...)

Good place to stay if you are on a tight budget

Posted Nov 27, 2016
Pros: Quick check-in process. Spacious rooms.
Cons: The heaters/air conditioners should be changed to quieter ones.
Location: It's located right on the highway 191 through Monticello.
I booked two rooms with two twin beds for a night's stay the night before we got to Utah. The rooms were clean and spacious. The beds and bedsheets were clean. The lady in the check in lobby stayed in to check us in and give us the keys at 12AM even though when we called in to ask about check in times, she said the lobby would close at 11PM. Pros: Availability of rooms on short notice. Spacious rooms/beds. Lady at the phone/lobby very helpful. Basic Cable with a bunch of good channels. Cons: The air conditioner/heater was loud so my brothers couldn't sleep well. I didn't have that problem though. No free breakfast, although it does say they don't offer breakfast. Not to be confused with the Canyonlands Inn in Moab. If you put in the initial address without the city in google maps, it automatically assume you want to go to Moab instead of Monticello as your first choice. Cost us almost two hours round because of that.

Great budget mom pop motel!

Posted Nov 8, 2016 on Hotels
Great mom and pop motel at a budget price! Friendly staff. Loved the three big mirrors in the room. Clean and comfortable. Guest laundry was nice as I have been traveling quite a few weeks and really needed it. Local food truck parks right across the street with great Mexican food also!

The cost was high for the quality of the hotel.

Posted Oct 27, 2016 on Orbitz
Pros: Nice bed. Good water pressure in shower. I would not stay here again. The cost of the hotel did not reflect the quality. I really do not want to add any more information but you keep asking me to do so.
Cons: Hotel was old and tired looking. Room was clean but also old and tired looking. The cost for this condition was way too much.
Location: Very remote..

A comfortable Hotel to stay while visiting Moab.

Posted Oct 18, 2016
Pros: It was quiet in a chaotic city.
Cons: More parking, please.
Location: Nearby is Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. We took a mountain loop road over the nearby mountain which provided beautiful vistas.
We were traveling with friends recently to visit Arches National Park near Moab. Both rooms were on the ground floor and were very comfortable and good sized. The location allowed easy access and egress for the main street. It is outside the key shopping corridor for souvenirs, which means it is quieter and less foot traffic. The breakfast was impressive - much more than a pastry and a cup of coffee. It had many hot choices and there was plenty of seating for all. It did appear a bus load of people were staying there while we were there. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean and well appointed. This is a good choice for your trip to Moab and the price was reasonable for the value. It was secure, too.

The tv was snowy. The air conditioner was loud. I was pleased there was a fridge and stove.

Basic motel with a low rate

Posted Oct 9, 2016
The the bed was OK. The room was clean, but older and small. The location was right on the highway so it was noisy. We were looking for an inexpensive one-night stopover, and that's what it is.
