We booked a Holiday Inn Express - not a First Choice Inn - and we thought it would be close to Moab Ut - it was not.

No longer a Holiday Inn
We stayed here before when it was a Holiday Inn. We drove past it because the sign wasn’t up. I checked in saying I had a reservation at the Holiday Inn. They said we are ____. I said well will you still accept my reservation? They moved on asking for my name without saying we were the Holiday Inn.... Anyway, apparently they have fridges in the room and an upgraded the breakfast (to now include toppings for you waffles, that’s the only difference I noticed). We also had a small dog with us so needed a room that accepts dogs. The second we walked in and turned on the AC it smelled like pee. The dog was sniffing around everywhere. We’ve stayed in other hotels that’s allowed dogs and it hasn’t smelled like pee before. Not sure how often carpets are cleaned...

Great Hotel
Great hotel! Only stayed one night but was super easy to book, very accommodating of our dog with several pet areas, including outdoor sitting for breakfast; clean and organized; delicious breakfast and friendly staff. No complaints here and definitely recommend to anyone!

Good overnight stay in the desert
The room was comfortable and the room darkening shade is excellent. We had trouble with the card keys - had to go to front desk twice to get them recharged. Many breakfast choices both warm and cold.

The hotel was okay. There is no microwave or fridge in the room. Clean towels everyday was a plus. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Greenriver does not have a lot to do, and Moab is about 45 minutes away.

The hotel was very clean, nice staff, but we had no hot water for showers in the morning. Called the desk, and they said hot water should appear after a minute or so of running the faucet but it never did. I was also counting on a room fridge, as we were traveling through with food (don’t most people?), but there wasn’t one :(

If you like deceptive listings, stay here. The listing for this motel stated that all rooms had fridges and microwaves, but ours (and many others, we discovered in the line for the small communal microwave) did not. Call me picky, but if you plan around having those, it’s pretty bad to find out the listing was a lie.

Property and room is just 'meh'. There is no street signage so it's very easy to miss. We booked and paid via Orbitz, gave my DL and credit card to the front desk at check-in (which is always required - no biggie) and when I woke up this morning there was an "express check out" envelope with a receipt enclosed showing that $130.37 was charged to my credit card. Called the front desk and spoke with "Jesse", he casually said "I wouldn't worry about it, nothing should be charged to your card" - at which point I opened my Amex app to verify and $143.41 was charged to my card.... so not "nothing" as Jesse stated, not even $130.37 as my Holiday Inn Express receipt stated...my room was booked and PRE PAID through Orbitz (which Jesse thought was gum) so any receipt issued by Holiday Inn Express should read $0.00, but $143.41 has been charged to my credit card. Jesse informed me that the manager could "look into it" when they arrived today. I asked when that would be and he said 3pm. I let him know that I would already be contacting IHG and American Express by then, to which he non-chalantly replied "do whatever you feel like." We have booked a hotel room through Orbitz twice... both times have been a nightmare, though the first time was at Hyatt Place and they were extraordinary....even though the mess up was because of Orbitz. This experience with the Green River, Utah Holiday Inn Express has left much to be desired.

Nice, older hotel
The hotel was pretty clean and the room was comfortable. I paid extra for a larger room but it was about what I would expect for a normal room. The pool is very small. They don’t have the facilities to accomodate breakfast for the crowd that was there on Presidents Day weekend. We stayed here because Moab hotels were full. We checked out and spent our second night in Moab.

Last minute stay after a long day of driving
I was able to make this reservation on my cell phone with the Expedia app. The hotel clerk was very nice and gave me a room near the back entrance so that I could easily take my dog in and out without going through the entire hotel. There is a nice dog area outside the back door. The room is nice, clean and comfortable.

Great motel, hard beds
The motel itself was wonderful as well as the staff. The breakfast wS awesome. The bed was rock hard and since that was the primary purpose of the room, it was a disappointment.

A plunger?
The hotel seemed overpriced for what we got. That is likely reflective of the area. Everyone was very friendly and helpful but I marked service with a moderate mark. Our toilet wasn't working properly. It seemed that the parts inside the toilet weren't working well. When I called the front desk, they brought me a plunger. A plunger to use myself.

Nice hotel but...
Does not allow cancellation, which is unacceptable for an Expedia listing. This is not obvious unless one reads the fine print.

Good choice for Green River, UT
Possibly among the more expensive ones in Green River, but still a good choice if everything else is already booked. Easy parking and access, nice little lobby, decent breakfast in the morning, good clean and comfortable rooms. A good choice for Green River.

Nice motel but town lacked everything!
Nice motel, great staff, free breakfast. Area was depressing economically depressed and lacked basic services, restaurants and stores anywhere nearby. We ventured over the river and drove through "town," which had boarded up and vacant businesses. To eat dinner, buy supplies and food, we went 50 miles away to Moab.

Nice room, friendly staff but noisy.
The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was large and comfortable except that it was very loud. Both days we stayed we were woken up by other guests. The first night was other guests in the hall waking us up at 6:30 am. The second morning we were awakened by guests outside the building just below our window at 6:15 a.m. They were talking in a normal tone of voice and it sounded like they were standing in our room. Our room was directly over the front door and the noise continued as we could hear every guest coming and going.
