Arrived to check in only to find out that the hotel had closed 2 days earlier with no notice to me at all. Just a paper sign up in the entrance door notifying people they were closed.

This place is scheduled to close April 15, 2024. Nothing looks like it has been updated since the 1980s. They are feeding feral cats at the back door. When we arrived the cats were eating pizza on the ground next to the garbage can. The lawn hadn't been mowed in weeks. Time to call it quits. They are supposedly turning this place into apartment units.

Room smelled bad when we arrived. towels did not smell clean, smelled like fried food. There were food splatters on the ceiling and walls, not great. There was a mechanical noise that was very loud, went on for 2 hours (8 to 10 PM) then stopped.The chairs in the room were very dirty, stained with food and liquid spills. Curtains did not work all the way. Lobby smelled like old wood and cirgarettes. The price was great. Overall impression of the hotel was not so good. Needs some cleaning and repairs.

We booked a non smoking room, however the room smelled awful a cigarette, and walking from the stairs to our room we could smell the cigarette smoke coming for some of the rooms.
