Not terrible, but not great

Overall, we didn't have any major issues with our stay at this hotel. However, we don't think we would choose to stay there again. The location is fine... though it was tucked back behind trees away from the other hotels making it feel a little secluded. The hotel generally felt clean. But beyond that, there was nothing else that made it anything above an average stay at an average hotel. I wouldn't give this hotel a bad rating, but I'm not sure why it has such high ratings (which was why we decided to book this hotel). The girl at the check-in counter was sweet and professional. No complaints there! :) When we got up to our room and walked in, housekeeping not yet been to the room to clean it. We panicked for a minute thinking we had just barged in on a guest! We had to go back down to the desk to get a new room. Overall, it wasn't a horrible mistake, but it was a little bit frustrating after just getting in from a long, exhausting drive and having to go back to the front desk (while still carrying all of our luggage and bags) to get a new room. I got locked out of the hotel when I tried to go check out the pool to see if it would be somewhere I would want to relax (it wasn't... maybe just because it was crowded). My room key/the key reader was not working. Again, these issues were not a big deal, but I think that the average-ness of the hotel paired with these frustrating experiences within just minutes of us arriving, caused us to feel a bit let down from the get-go.
