Much better visit than last time!Posted Sep 23, 2017
I think the room you get definitely impacts the success of your stay at this hotel. Even though the rooms are somewhat tired and in desperate need of renovating, the room at the back of the hotel was just what I needed after my exhaustive journey and for the conference calls I needed to make. The staff were lovely as always, and the food was great! If only the hotel was renovated and the lift fixed, it would be getting a complete 5 from me!!

Adequate for a short stayPosted Aug 7, 2017 on Hotels
Warm welcome and good service, but the room was basic and beds not very comfortable. Within walking distance to the old town and waterfront.

OK for business, OK if in transit, no good for a hPosted Nov 24, 2016
Pros: Good shower, on the island, convienient for business
Cons: Rooms are very jaded, TV channels very limited and poor picture quality.
Location: Business, Fot Jesus, staying over to reach the airport, so as to avoid traffic / ferry problems from south coast
Very noisy road adjacent to bar and restaurant. Breakfast, very poor quality, greasy fried foods. Bar smells of cigarette smoke. Internet very slow. Bed very hard. Shower was good though.

Noise pollution .Posted Sep 1, 2016
Pros: Staff were helpful and friendly.
Cons: New sheets and towels and refurbishment. Checking out system was appalling. We were stopped from leaving even though we had paid. This needs changing.
Location: Go out to the coast. It is beautiful. Visit the Old town and the fort.
Hotel was in town. Mombassa is very noisy and hot. It's impossible to sit in the restaurant which is adjacent to the main street and hear what people are saying. The hotel is built like a blast from the past but it needs refurbishing. It is such a shame. The noise pollution spoils the hotel setting.

DisappointedPosted Sep 29, 2013
Pros: Central position
The hotel is not maintained to the standard it was suggested. This is the second time I have had to rewrite it.

Good hotel in the centre of townPosted Aug 15, 2013
Pros: Convenient location with good sized bedrooms and helpful staff. Traditional food available in the restaurant.
Cons: The wifi (strong signal) in the lobby area could be free.
Location: Ideal for staying in central Mombasa for shopping and tourist sites such as Fort Jesus
Very convenient hotel that is the best option if you want to stay in the middle of town. A reliable restaurant with local food. Roomy and clean rooms.
