But our Still Bar & Restaurant have perfectly levelled chairs & tables for a less casual approach. We are very disappointed to read your comments as we are normally held in very high regard in terms of décor, food and the quality of service provided by our staff to all of our guests, regardless of the nature of their visit. We do apologise that you feel let down by the room that was assigned to you for your stay. Although we do our best to ensure that all of our guest rooms are kept to the highest standard, unfortunately a natural part of the accommodation industry is wear and tear. As part of our ongoing refurbishment program, we have a continuous plan of renewal in all areas of the hotel and we are committed to reinvestment when both time and finances permit it - All of our guest accommodation, as of 2-weeks ago, has now been refurbished .Having investigated your daughter's reservation also, I can see that she booked a Double Single Guest Room, which is what was assigned to her. The descriptions of our room types included on our website, which is where your daughter made her booking, are very accurate and thoroughly outline what exactly is included in the room, so we do apologise if she misinterpreted this. Our team assign guest rooms in accordance to what has been reserved by guests and we do not offer favouritism to any of our guests.Hopefully we will have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future to help redeem your opinion of the hotel.Kindest wishes,Laura

Dear Fiona, Thank you very much for choosing the Four Seasons Hotel, Monaghan, for your trip away. Providing our guests with the best possible hospitality and service has always been our mission as it is both positive and negative feedback that allow us to gain the knowledge we need to maintain our high standards and ensure that when they do slip, we have the opportunity to rectify them. Our Reception Team do constantly aim to allocate bedrooms in accordance to the functions that guests are attending however as the hotel only has 59 bedrooms unfortunately it is not always possible to do so, despite trying out best. We are a public hotel and consequently we are unable to guarantee that functions etc will not cause disruption. However, we do aim to limit this by having a security team on throughout the late hours of the evening and although they endeavour to do their best at restricting the unnecessary movement and noise of other hotel guests sometimes it is just not possible and sadly a few guests do ruin the peace for others. Rest assured, we have passed your comments onto all of the necessary departments and we apologise that your experience wasn’t as enjoyable as we all had wished for. We're glad that the circumstances will not deter you from visiting the hotel again in the future and request that when you're making you're next reservation that you ask for myself and I'd be happy to see there's anything we can do to help enhance your stay.
