Worst hotel I’ve ever experienced! My Son had a bike race a few hours from home so I tried to save some money and booked Monarch Mt Lodge. I came down with Covid and called a couple days before my reservation to cancel. They would not refund my money, so my wife kindly took my place. When they walked into the weird tiny lobby, they met a couple that had been waiting 50 min. without seeing a single employee. After another 20 min. They finally got their key. When they got to the room, they were surprised to be stopped by the maid who said, and I quote “you don’t want to go in their” total nightmare. By now, my kid was late for his race so he tried to change in the lobby bathroom. Granted, there was a cone blocking an open door, but when my son stepped in he saw what was feces water overflowing out of both toilets. Yuck! Naturally, they returned the key and ran for the door. Wife said it had a “dark vibe”. When I called to express our dissatisfaction, I was hung up on. Stay away!!!
