Use the earplugs

Posted Oct 12, 2017
Do you like listening to a group of bongo players outside your room until 3am? Then this is the hotel for you. Rooms - great. Staff - great. View - great (assuming you pay for the premium for a room with a view). Location (without the noise) - great. But! The noise from the square just outside the hotel is abysmal. It seems to be a spot for all manner of young men to gather in large groups who do so - noisily - until the very early hours. One last tip. Avoid the restaurants immediately surrounding the square. On my last night I was looking for somewhere close by to eat and saw a dozen rats running around amongst the tables. Go a few blocks down and you'll be fine. The hotel management need to invest heavily in noise prevention measures (the windows are only single glazed for example) to make this any higher than a 2* recommendation. I feel sorry for the staff because they were all very welcoming and friendly.

Great location!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The roof top view can't be beat the restaurant food and drinks were on point. This place is a little noisy at night but I think that comes with the popularity.

Great hotel

Posted Sep 3, 2017
Ideal location for seeing all main sites of interest, everywhere was within walking distance. Spacious, clean, recently refurbished room with all the complimentary extras you would expect from a four star hotel. We found the staff to be very helpful & knowledgeable - we were given tips and suggestions of how, and what to see.

Great hotel

Posted Sep 2, 2017
Pros: Location, staff, facilities
Cons: Nothing
Location: The hotel is central to everything Athens has to offer
A for Athens is in the most amazing location. I woke to sunrise over the Parthenon. It is a quiet retreat from the craziness of the street below. The staff are wonderfully helpful and friendly. Don't miss sunset drinks in the roof top bar.

Convenience with a view of the Acropolis

Posted Aug 22, 2017
Pros: The location and the view of the Acropolis! The staff was helpful but not pushy.
Cons: The street entrance. The decor could be improved somewhat.
Location: It is situated in a lively area and convenient to the metro. It is a short walk to restaurants and fun streets that lead to some of the sights.
The staff was wonderfully helpful, whether it was transportation or advice on visitation. They were knowledgeable about attractions, offered good advice, provided assistance when requested and proposed good-sense solutions.

Excellent hotel perfectly located for Athens visit

Posted Aug 8, 2017
A boutique hotel well located in Monistiraki Square. Easy access to the key Athens attractions. Easy walking distance to great restaurants. Fabulous views to the Acropolis. Rooftop bar/restaurant was a special experience.

If you want to know Athens, this is the best Hotel

Posted Aug 5, 2017
Pros: The location, the view, the comfort.
Location: Everything is near walking: flea market, acropolis, adriano's gate. Never used a metro or a cab while in this hotel.
You have the best location in Athens if you want to walk around. We didn't use the transportation even once. You can walk to everywhere. The brerakfast has the best view of the acr5opolis you can get in town, and the personal were the best and nice.

Great view and staff

Posted Jul 31, 2017
Hotel was very clean and staff were very helpful, but the location was not the greatest. There was loud commotion til 5 am in the monestariki square next to the hotel, with people banging on drums, dancing and singing. If this hotel was at a quieter section of Athens it would of been perfect. View from our room was also spectacular and breakfast from the rooftop was great.
