Pros: Large spacious rooms. Location is good. Fab decor
Cons: Beds and the breakfast
Location: Excellent location
Very central in town centre. Close to most things. Great views. Breakfast could have been better.

Nightmare parking nice staff.

Posted Sep 4, 2014
Pros: Staff
Cons: Directions
Location: Only the cathedral really and then move on.
Nice little B and B but parking and finding it was a nightmare. Pleasant staff, clean room but basic and a bit noisy being in town.

Charm of the old hotel

Posted Jul 6, 2014 on Hotels
pros: - close to the city center - very nice and helpful staff - very spacious and high rooms - vintage style cons: - located on a narrow street, problem to park a car, there is no car parking near hotel - access by stairs, no lift - not too clean rooms (stains on the coverlet)

Short okay stay

Pros: Central location
Cons: Facilities weren't that great
Didn't realise there were two parts to the hotel the Domus Notari and a nicer newer hotel.

the worst night's sleep I've ever had!

Posted May 19, 2014 on Hotels
Awful place. It hasn't been updated in decades, except they've obviously replaced the mattress, which was so cheap and nasty that it resulted in the worst night's sleep I've ever had. The shower was tiny, wouldn't drain, went from hot to cold and back again for no apparent reason, and had a horrible curtain. There is a bakery around the corner, so, come 4am, the machines start up and you'd have to be a very heavy sleeper not to be disturbed by it. The only up side is that the staff were very pleasant.

Great location for visiting Monreale Cathedral

Posted May 27, 2013
Very welcoming staff & extremely helpful when we wanted an early breakfast to get away to the airport. Also getting the car in & out of the garage which was a very tight entrance. Bedroom over the local baker so moth watering smells drifting to the room. Only downside was finding the hotel which had little signage & was not well known by the local people.

Our favourite of all 12 hotels we stayed at in Sicily.Beautifully converted 18 C palazzo close to the incredible Duomo. Charming staff - the manager even accompanied us to the opposite end of town to collect our car and guide us back through the congested streets. Excellent breakfast and secure paid parking in private garage alongside.
