The rooms look nice online but when you get there…that’s not the case. It’s like they left the old bones of the property as is and only replaced the furniture. The room could use some TLC. The toilet was leaking, water coming out between the floor boards, leak in walls causing the paint to peel it was so bad, mold in the corners of the shower, etc. you could tell that the pipes behind the toilet were super old and fixed a million times from all the plaster. The bed was so noisy you couldn’t even move or sit on it to put your shoes on without it sounding like it was going to fall apart. The fridge didn’t even cool; not sure why they even bother putting it in there. The remote to the TV didn’t even have a cover for the batteries. This place was not even a 3 or 2 star, it was more like a half star. I attempted to tell the front desk about the issues and she didn’t seem to care so I checked out and on my way I went. Whatever. I’m glad it was only for one night because I wouldn’t have been able to stay longer with those conditions. I won’t be returning.

No light bulbs in lights. No hot water. $50 cash deposit. We got there at 12:20 am after 28 hours of driving and was tired and needed a hot shower. Was very disappointing!

First, this is a three story facility and the elevator was out of service and appeared to have been in that condition for some time. For an eighty year old the third floor is way up. Second, the first room had no operable smoke detector, it was laying on the bed upon arival. The safety lock on the door did not work. There were no towels, wash cloths, hand towels or bath mats in the room. Room 2 had no towels, now wash cloths or bath mats. Will I recommend this property? I will recommend that no one pay for this kind of service.

The front desk lady with the slashes in her eyebrow is not the brightest or friendly. Found a roach in my room. Called to try get my room switched or have someone kill this big ah roach. They said they didn't have any rooms. That's a lie, it showed online that they had rooms left. She said she would kill the bug and never showed up. Not good for family at all. I can't wait to hit up corporate and the BBB. This place won't last for long.

The room was hot, when we turned the air on water from the ac went everywhere. Mold was all over the bathroom ceiling. The fridge was not cooling. There was a cockroach in the shower. We stayed long enough to shower and get back on the road.

A little more information ...
We were traveling on I20, and stayed at the Red Roof. Price was right and the room was clean, comfortable and quiet, so perfect in that regard. We had 2 concerns. I only learned that the elevator was out of order when we arrived and we were on the third floor. She could not easily change us, so we took the stairs (we are in our 60s, so usually a change to a lower floor is a reasonable accommodation). The clerk made it sound like it would be too hard to do and they could not honor the price we already paid for the room. They also had a sign for a $50 CASH deposit, but they did not collect it, which was good since the morning shift clerk did not offer any returns. My other concern was that the water in the room was discolored. Probably old pipes. Bring water for drinking if you have it. We just went to McDonald's when we left, which was a good move since coffee service did not begin until 7:30 am.

My trip to West Monroe, LA
The room was clean but needs updated. I feel you should put a mini fridge and microwave in all your rooms. Also a coffee pot with coffee packs would be nice also. I brought my hair dryer but it would be nice to have one in the room. We will probably stay again.

Great Price, Great Location
The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. I was a little apprehensive because the price was so low, but I was surprised. For an overnight stay it was excellent for the price.

We checkedin late, the staff was very welcoming but the first room had urine all over the toilet and the security bar was ripped out. On the hallway there were several cigarette butts and there was a strong weed smell. We got a different room and the paint smell was very strong. This was a pass thru hotel that I would not recommend for families staying in.
