Very nice staff. Way too many stairs but we had fun. A place to go to do nothing but relax.

Relaxing Vacation at the beachPosted Sep 26, 2015
Pros: Relaxing atmosphere on the beach with beautiful views.
Cons: They are in the middle of improving the blocks of rooms with direct beach front access along with a total remodel of the Palazzina Restaurant.
Location: Dunn's River Falls and golfing are two of things that are off site and close by.
This was our second time at Couples San Souci. Even though they were in the middle of a large remodel, things went very smoothly. A very nice place to relax and unwind with plenty of activities included as part of our stay. We chose to spend most of our time relaxing at the beach. Food was very good and plenty of it. Plenty of liquid refreshment available too. We enjoyed meeting other vacationers from all over the world (Canada, England, Scotland, Dubai) and from other states across the USA. The Jamaican people are gracious hosts and Couples San Souci is a great place to vacation. We are already talking about our next trip.

BEST RESORT EVER!Posted Jul 12, 2015
We arrived at the resort with a welcoming staff. The activities listed were great and there was a lot of things to do at the resort. The only thing drawback was that the resort was closing for a month and we were not notified of this after 2 days of staying. This process led us being shipped to Tower Isle, which led to being shipped to Swept Away, which neither one compared to this resort. The staff however bent over backwards to accommodate us on this incident. Just would have liked to be told sooner so that the proper arraignments could have been made.

Pros: Clean and spacious rooms with air conditioning. Free mini bar!!
Cons: No! Everything was wonderful.
Location: We did go on the Dunn's River excursion and due to a docked cruise ship we found the trip far too busy. We stayed on the resort the rest of the time!
We chose the San Souci Couples resort based on the lower number of rooms. Staff and guests were all so pleasant and wonderful to be around. I truly could not have picked a better location for our honeymoon. The resort grounds were lovely - they were well taken care of and beautiful. Truthfully, I had lower expectations for the food (since buffet style tends to not always be the best) - however the food was excellent! My husband and I were particular fans of the beach grill and Bella Vista restaurant. The Social Directors were also a highlight of our stay - Milton, Sasha, George.. they were all so charismatic and just being around them elevated everyone's mood. Although I haven't been to other Couples Resorts I spoke with other guests there who had been and they claim that San Souchi is the best! I'm not sure I can go to another resort since I loved our stay so much.

Cons: Add a couple more Red Stripes to the minibar par level.
Food was great, staff was awesome, resort grounds are beautiful. We will definitely be back.

Best vacation ever!Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: Very relaxing, beautiful setting, wonderful staff.
Cons: Nothing! Some people complain about the "tired" decorating, but I think it's the old plantation charm of the resort. They are remodeling this summer
Location: Don't know...we never wanted to leave the resort!
We take a vacation every year for our anniversary. This year at Couples San Souci was the best yet! We love to pick a different place every year, but for the first time we are considering going back to the same place next year.

"Ya Mon"Posted Jun 13, 2015
Pros: smaller resort, felt more intimate!
Cons: The mini bar should be pre-stocked upon arrival ..we didn't enjoy having to wait until the next day, especially after a long day of travel
Location: dunns river = yikes. do once, laugh it off, tell your friends, and never do it again :-)
Overall, had a great vaca. The rooms/resort looked a little tired, but everything was very clean and you could see workers making improvements. It was mentioned that they are closing for several months to undergo renovations.... all staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, though you could tell some REALLY LOVED their job, while others just... liked it. we are avid scuba divers and were super pleased that daily dives were included. LOVED the Au Natural Beach, and staff over there... was a HUGE plus for us, although we weren't initially looking for it upon booking. We are excited to return again and see the results of the renovation, and spend time on the AN beach.

We really enjoyed our time at couples. A very relaxing location. Smaller resort, so it did not feel congested. Plenty of activities on site. A perfect place to relax and recharge. Food was excellent for "all-inclusive" standards. Staff was friendly and attentive. I would recommend this resort for anyone that is looking for peace, quiet, sand, and sun.

San SouciPosted Jun 4, 2015 on Hotels
Great all inclusive. Couldn't have asked for a better staff. The beds are a little uncomfortable. That's the only thing we could really complain about. There were a few nights we couldn't get rest because we stayed in F block and that is right where everything happens by the lobby. It was still bearable. This is not a resort where you are going to see the real Jamaica, just FYI. It is a hotel aimed at couples having a romantic time. The staff was impeccable. Loved them and will miss them the most!

Beautiful tropical property on the beachPosted May 28, 2015
Pros: breakfast and diving
Cons: up date bathroom
This was our second stay at couples san souci and it was wonderful again. It is a relatively small resort with some of the most beautiful mature tropical gardens that I have ever seen. The rooms are a little dated but are comfortable, have nice views, great house keeping and turn-down service. There are lots of steep stone steps through the gardens that could be difficult if you have bad knees but are great for exercise. The breakfasts are great and the restaurants are good. On Fridays they go all out with a wonderful dinner on the grass lawn near the beach with a wide assortment of foods and special entertainment. The Martini Bar is open from 5pm to 9pm. There is entertainment and dancing most every night on an open terrace. The staff are very friendly and work hard to please you. There is an enforced no tipping policy but we tipped our house keeping lady each day and a few special people in private on our last day there. The beach is small but nice. They have a nude beach but you must be totally nude therefore some people did not go there. Snorkeling is not very good off the beach unless you are an experienced snorkeler and know were to go. They offer free scuba diving and snorkeling from the boat which is very nice. Water depths are 40 to 90 feet. There is a ship wreck that you can penetrate. Dive boat leaves at 9am and returns around 10:15am so I could spend the rest of the day with my wife. Very relaxing, will return.
