At check in we were given the wrong room, front desk super unfriendly and didn’t give us any information on amenities etc. we heard from guests on property that the lack of information was a big issue as you waste time trying to figure stuff out. We got a new room, it was run down and the safe wasn’t working. No consistency in room cleaning and mini bar filling. Staff working in resort were really unapproachable even so far as saying they looked inconvenienced that you wanted to shop. We had a couple good servers. 1 incredible server in fact and that’s why this rating wasn’t a zero.

Overall stay was great. Food was execellent and the service was overal great. The concierge and maintalenance were not good. We asked for a crib on arrival at 9pm. Called three more times and eventually got it at 12:00 am after the family was already asleep. Dialed "0" repeatedly from room for front desk and at times for 30 minutes noone would answer. The shower drain was not secured to the floor so you had to be careful and the faucets were not shiny silver they looked old and neednto be polished and or changed. The in-person front desk and the overall staff including lifeguards, servers, chefs, were pleasant and welcoming.

Uncooperative hotel is a joke i had it booked for 5 days had to check out on 1st day do to their incompetent laziness.Took them 18 hours ti fix tv in my room after going to front desk and reporting it few times. We were told that will get our money back by Daviece ennis and so far we still haven’t heard anything from hotel .Food was absolutely horrible Stay away from this place

The staff was friendly and some was helpful when I checked in I wasn’t given any information on the property the house keeping staff was very noisy in the hallway in the morning prevented me from sleeping in and there was people fighting at 4am waking me up from my sleep and was disappointed

The people at this resort are mostly welcoming and helpful. The facilities were NOT at all accessible for those with mobility issues. From the time we landed to the time of departure there were far too many barriers to safely moving around the resort for my family. My husband is in a wheelchair and this resort is NOT friendly for those who have any mobility issues. The ramps are not safe, there are far too few ramps, and the elevators are not at all ideal. DO NOT stay here if you have any mobility issues. The floors are slippery, the ramps are dangerous and the entire resort is unsafe for those in wheelchairs.

I like everything about the hotel stuff was very cool and I enjoyed it but the only thing I don’t like is was the Japanese restaurant I saw a cockroach at the time we when to seat at the table and everything was set out to eat that was disappointing to us

First I want to share little bit about food experiences: All buffet waiters work very slowly, food variety is same every day. Most of the waiters not smile at all. Orchidea buffet had crouches crowded over the food. Few times I had a chance to take the bad sliced tomatoes and carrots. We had very good experience with restaurants like Don Pablo, Brazilian, and Italian . Second- Cleanness- All tables in lobby, sports bar always not cleaned well. Beach area by kids slide always crowded. Hopefully they will increase this area soon. Can’t wait to come back and swim again in clear water.😊

The biggest issue was that the room was nothing like advertised. The booking said very clearly 2 queen beds and one king bed. No such rooms exist at this resort. It ended up being a king and a cot. That basically ruined the stay. Hotel staff and expedia did nothing about this false advertising. Little things like the safe not working and the bar fridge being broken and only being stocked with 2 beers a day was so petty but nothing was done about it. Great resort but cut out the false advertising. I have a screen shot of the booking.

2nd Time My Fiancé And I Stayed Here At The Bahia Principe. We Were At The “Adults Only” Resort During Our 1st Visit, 2nd Time We Stayed At The Family Side Of The Resort With Our 8Month Old Baby And We Loved This Part A Bit More Everyone Was So Friendly, Place Is Clean Up To Date. The staff there was pleasant, kind, and friendly. The food was great. I would recommend friends and family. If you are a couple and dont have kids, it is best to be on the luxury side of the hotel.

This resort was AMAZING!! There are tons of pools, a beautiful beach and the food was DELICIOUS! This is definitely a must visit for families!! Your children will enjoy it! So many different things to do! But relaxation is their main goal. I loved every minute of this trip!

The good..Property is beautiful, staff are very friendly. Buffet was good. The bad…When problems arise the staff are unable to fix issues. Lock on door was malfunctioning and for last 4 days we could not get into our room without security’s assistance. Laptop was stolen from our travel companion room..no action taken by hotel. A la carte food was consistently cold. Could hear all the noise from hallways as if room door was left open. Frustrating to say the least. Money is better spent elsewhere.

We were very pleased with the pool staff and Dj's. Nicola and Roderick were both very good at entertaining the guest and getting everyone involved. My favorite bartenders poolside were Neville and Denzil.

We did family trip to this resort. While the entertainment was nice and the space was clean, we had issues with the food, cleanliness when handling food, and some staff at the resort. The food was not good. Restaurant staff usually would handle food with their bare hands. This resort is pretty far away so there isnt easy access to local restaurants or other beaches, unless you're willing to pay $100USD and up to taxi there. Some staff seemed annoyed being there and usually rushed service at the buffet and bar. Overall, my family and I will not be returning here and don't recommend this resort for a vacation.
